I asked a friend of mine who's not only a music teacher, but speaks Russian. I thought that maybe since Russian uses a different alphabet that they had a letter that looked like an H but sounded like a B. He said there's one that kind of looks like a B, but he had a better explanation.

Apparently Bach liked to hide his name in his music. The notes B, A, C are obvious. But guess what note he used to represent the H in his name? B-flat.

i'm Dutch too, and haven't even ever heard of the H note! and i've got my A and B music Exams. (C and D not.. maybe i teach someday) But H is the same as B? and B (H) in europe is a Bb in America? I always thought Music was the unniversal language, no matter where you are, notes are al the same.

Igor, do you use B or H? or do you use your own notes and is that why nobody can play like you do?
