starship troopers started as a book in 1959 is wasnt till the animated seires that they could finaly show all the amout ect that was orginaly planed for the move due to the movies bugget for anyone who seen read the books or seen the animated show would know master cheif is a straight rip off of starship troopers

Actualy the book suits were way closer to Exo-squad than the movie or the series(with the excetion of the series' ape Marauder suits). Still, halo, anything dubbed "Space marines", anything with future guys in robotic suits, all that goes back to R. A. Heinlein just like D&D, and most modern fantasy can be traced to J. R. R. Tolkien.
