@adzyb69 it is a mk1 mini, the mk2 had the squarer rear lights, mk1 and 2's had external door hinges, mk3's did not, there's loads of other indentifiable marks but those are the more recognised amonst mini buffs, hope this helps.

@adzyb69 goto the miniworld website my man, look in the classified section, you will get a nice one for that price, try and get it insured as a classic, you may get a cheaper premium, try 'Adrian s flux' for insurance, they are very competitive, get a 1000cc one to start with they are so much fun, then once your insurance goes downm in a few years up it to a 1380cc.

Actually, "Gumby", the Honda is a much better choice- the Hayabusa isn't geared properly for a road car application, nor are there any simple solutions- that's why the Honda swap far outnumbers the bike swap.... and besides- no where in OUR universe can you get 300 streetable horsepower with a Hayabusa without a turbo, but your universe clearly differs....

i'm guessing that this mini has a 2.0l vtec honda engine, so going with your choices would make it allot worse

assuming you can just switch out the engine retaining the gearbox and awd system the advantages of a hyabusa engine would be significant. i had a look into the levante but the engine is too big, with the hyabusa engine the power is more reliable, and the car would be lighter. 300hp without any turbo would be better than the 2L engine that it has now

It's all in the tune, son. Also, 2JZ-GTE is 3.0L and a good Nissan engine to compare to it is the RB30, which has seen far greater numbers than a 2JZ owner could even have wet dreams about. Nissan has also been around longer and is alot better at marketingn than Toyota and Honda.

So your talking shit there. and it really would not compare at all to a Civic EK9 type R. at all. the RB30 cannot rev as highly, and is a weaker engine, and lacks the power of an rb26, which isnt even designed as good as a 2JZ. and it needs 2 turbos. a 2JZ can reach about 1500bhp wheras an RB30 is less.
