I bought this cassette in 1979 I think. I forget album name but it had this song in it.

It got in the uS and it was under Angel City. Not sure if I got it thru Columbia record and Tape club or a local indie record store in New Hope PA.

But I listened to this tons on my way to the BMX races, along with the Clash, the Photos, the Surf Punks, Split Enz, and omg tons of XTC

Back in the late 70's early 80's a young kid growing up in the Dandenong, Frankston area of Melbourne, I hated the foreign music of the day. Thank god for good old aussie rock, with acdc the angels, rose tattoo and cold chisel etc. My pushbike was my best friend and the smokin greens flowed freely. For those who dont know who the Angels are, Australia was the place to be back in those days. I couldn't fathom the gay stuff like culture club and the human league. thanks heaps to the uploader!

Doc Neeson was a legend in Angel City in The States and was and still is in The Angels in Australia. Pity some American chick just pinched that name Angel City. Don't be misled - this is the original Angel City - the one with chick isn't.

@blueralf1 With all due respect, there was an American vocal group called the Angels; they pre-dated the great same-named Australian band by ten years. Their big hit was called "My Boyfriend's Back". Two good, but very different, groups, one great name. I saw the Aussie Angels play live in 1981 or so; they were AMAZING.

Doc Neeson is a great singer and went on to have a pretty good side career as a voice over man in Aussie commercials lol. Through the 80's and 90's, there was always somewhere in Sydney or Melbourne on any weekend you could see them live.

The Angels wrote this song. They released it in 1980. Great White's cover followed in 1986. Check out the video here on YT - the arrangement is different to this one (& better IMO). Doc Neeson's performance is fantastic. Great band.

The Angels were Austraia's greatest rockers in their heyday - even better than ACDC - richer, fuller, better songs - more melodic licks, better lead and rhythm harmonies, better lead tone, better arrangements and of course far better vocalist. Even the bassist was notably good - they were the full package - the best of the best.
