  • thats awesome!

  • What kind of camera are you using?

  • What camera are you using??

    Please answer!!

  • I have an SL and I believe it will go high. I have a mini SL that will go a little higher only because it wasn't windy and it only goes vertical and never horizontal.

  • Dude, that was high!! This is by far the best toy that air hogs has ever and will ever make. I wish they were still making them, not sure why they stopped. My guess is that is was a little over the top for their target market of little kids. I still have mine, getting ready to do the brushless conversion, making it a 'stronglauncher'

  • Yea, they stopped making storm launcher. But now they're making storm launcher mini.

  • They stopped making those too but those are not the same at all, they are total junk!

  • also is the plane modded at all?

  • Yes, this is the storm launcher that can float on water. No mods done except that I removed the plastic prop guards and removed the horizontal tail.

  • hi have you looked into using this plane for FPV?

  • hi, is this the storm launcher that can drive on water?

  • it's like a umv plane in the military

  • that was amazing. great job.

  • thats crazy, how u know which way its even facing up that high if it looks like a tiny dot? on top of that land it back after letting it soar back to ground level.

  • I suppose the only answer is that you become very familiar with how the SL reacts to your controls once you fly it X number of times. X, being greater than couple 100 in my case I'd imagine.

  • dude that was sweet.. i was all like holy shit that thing is still falling out of the sky nice flying my stormlauncher did not survive 3 flights

  • OMFG! Sweetest video ever.

  • awesome vid!! I love when it started to drop, that was instense for a second.

How do you do a sideways roll with your SL?

  • For a roll give it full power and push the stick about half way to the direction you want to roll. As soon as you do that, slowly (but not too slowly) cut back the throttle and it will begin to roll. If it ends up upside down you probably cut the throttle to slowly and didn't have enough momentum to complete the roll. You'll have to practice it a few times to get the feel.

  • that is so high id say thats around 1,500 feet

  • wow! thats gr8 altitude for a airhog plane.. what type of camera did u use?

  • Not bad eh? :) The camera is called an ST Lab 5in1 eDVR. I picked mine up at rcrecorder, com.

  • did the battary die in middle of flight? omg

  • It died less than a second after landing. However, I've had them die in mid flight many times ... nothing a bit of duct tape or glue hasn't fixed yet. I've snapped them in half 3 or 4 times (literally) and they keep flying like new every time. I'll say it again -- they're worth every penny.

  • awesome, I just ordered mine, should be in the mail this week. Thanks for the video.

  • Excellent, good luck to you. Even though it may be considered and advertised as a "toy", prepare yourself that it may not feel like one at first. Once you get the feel of the controls and how it reacts to them it'll be the best toy you've ever owned :)

  • what website and how much?

  • ebay, was $60, love it.

  • I don't know if Walmart still sells these, but i bought all 4 of my Storm Launchers (no battery) from them last year and the year before, each for $30 CDN. They had also been selling the batteries for $9.99 CDN. It might be worth a look.

  • i meant the camera lol, but i already have two Storms since one wasnt good enough. These are my fav flying rc since its all terrain plus i got my new Storm for $20(cnd) at the source so go figure.

  • oohh. I picked up the camera at rcrecorder, com. It's the st lab 5in1 eDVR.

  • That's just awesome!

  • impressing flight! :D

do post the low cloud cover recording if u end up record it.

  • I really hope to this winter once the golf course gets its first layer of snow and after the temperature drops. The engines perform so much better the colder it gets.

  • what deos stock mean? good job ny way

  • Stock just means that nothing was modified (such as motors) -- It's right out the the box. Except in this case the plastic prop guards and horizontal tail fin have been removed.

  • is this the Stock storm Launcher or a modified one?

  • Prop guards and stab have been removed. Everything else is stock.

  • wat does the stab look like and wat is it and were is it on the strom launcher??

  • is the stock storm LAuncher or modded?

  • Nice flying, 5 stars! Check out my SL vid fer a hoot!

  • Nice Video Just Come Back From Park Whit My S.L and Fly at The Same High of You Doing in This Video, and in Flight i Thing About This 3Video You Did And Remember How The View Are Nice from The Top Of My S.L :P So Cool.

    keep doing so nice vid

  • wow very cool!!! Id be dive bombing into people :D

  • Absolutely fabulous. 5 Stars.

  • wow!!!!

    sweet video!

how did you put a camera on top of the storm launcher?

  • Thanks :) The camera -- an ST Labs 5 in 1 eDVR -- is so small and lightweight that the only real obstacle is in mounting it. The SL has enough power to get it off the ground and to keep it there.

I simply cut a hole just behind the cockpit to "plug" the usb connector into. It's cut at an angle so that the camera will point 45 degrees down. 2 twist ties and a little tape support it in place. It doesn't look pretty but who cares when you can do this with it.

  • Where did you get the camera from?

  • rcrecorder,com

  • cool

    how high is that!

    500 feet????

lol u could fligh that thing all the way around town from ur house sice u got the cockpit view and the long distance of flighing capability lol
