Yeah, he looked really big. Especially his tail. One of our dogs is about 85lbs, so I assumed he was at least half the size of him. That's where I got 40lbs. He could have been even bigger than that.
Hopefully nobody traps him this summer. A lot of people think Beavers are a nuisance around here because they dam up streams close to atv trails, and make the water flow over.

Hey Tim, that beaver looked as big as your dogs. No wonder he wasn't frightened.
How neat is that to get to watch a beaver so relaxed in the wild. Very cool!
