She had every right to film the police on her own property making an arrest, of which she was arrested, filed suit/complaints, which is the reason why they are here. Granted at the time no emergency was present but that matters not in the same way red zone parking is illegal. You can't say there was no fire so it's okay to park in the red just like you can't say there was no emergency so I'll park as far away from the curb as I please.
@gnockergnutz In every state that I have live, 6 of them, the statute was 18 inches from the curb. One of those cars was less than an inch over 12". That is petty by any standard. That street didn't look so narrow that an emergency vehicle would be impeded by even by even another foot. The truth is that it was revenue grab. I will admit that it is common courtesy to get as close to curb as you can especially if you have a large vehicle. If you can't get within 18, don't drive!
They are enforcing the law of the people. If you have a problem with it then your solution is not arguing with the officer. Instead go to your City Councilman or Congressman and have the law changed otherwise live with it.

She had every right to film the police on her own property making an arrest, of which she was arrested, filed suit/complaints, which is the reason why they are here. Granted at the time no emergency was present but that matters not in the same way red zone parking is illegal. You can't say there was no fire so it's okay to park in the red just like you can't say there was no emergency so I'll park as far away from the curb as I please.

That street didn't look so narrow that an emergency vehicle would be impeded by even by even another foot. The truth is that it was revenue grab. I will admit that it is common courtesy to get as close to curb as you can especially if you have a large vehicle. If you can't get within 18, don't drive!

I can understand one police car in the neighborhood who noticed something and ticketed the cars, but four squad cars is overkill. And this neighborhood looks very quiet. I don't see any mobs or protest marchers in the footage. So I don't see why the police did this.
