plus, as for the mildred kemp thing, in the asylum where anna stayed, mildred would tell her stories about her killing the little girl and her family and taking her pearls. so when anna saw another type of pears that rachel has that resembles mildreds' pearls, anna thought in her mind that rachel killed the family and was after her for her dad. u have to realize that anna was not fully recovered from the fire incident. she was still mentally unstable which explains the ghosts, the bell etc.

hello, i have seen the movie and it was one of the best scariest movies i have ever seen, for ur question as for wouldnt someone notice if anna and alex were talking to eachother, if u notice throughout the movie anna and alex only spoke alone when no one was around, and when they were with there dad and rachel notice that they wouldnt talk so no one was suspicious

I thought the movie was preety good i liked it i just didn't like hoe anna was a mental nutcase.

She didn't want matt to deliver anymore because she was afraid anna would do something to matt and she did she killed him

she didnt want to kill her dad she wanted for her and her to dad to live alone together i think.

it was so stupid to have alex be a ghost! because what happend to the scene where alex tells off her dad for not sending the letters? how can anna see things differently? like woow i thought it wasnt scary at all- i screamed oncceee; the part with the ginge underneath the stove

the sister was a HUGE stretch 4 the movie. the director is STUPID STUPID STUPID!!! Anna seemed to notice the other ppl. were ghosts, but she didn't notice that Alex was a ghost. WHAT THE HALE!!!

Oh, and the person with the video response, Rachel wasn't trying to keep him safe from her mental issues, because he did know about them. Because when he comes by in the boat, he tells her he tried to come visit but they wouldn't let him.

And.... the reason Rachel talks about Alex, is because she says when she first started working there, she noticed how Alex was a brat and how Anna was different. She wasn't talking about right then, she was talking about what she noticed about them when they first started working. Rachel was only mean because she knew the truth the whole time. She knew Anna started the fire. And Rachel told them he didn't need to work anymore because she thought he had something to do with the fire because he was with Anna at first before she came and started the fire. And he was trying to tell Anna that he saw her do that, so maybe he was around to see it and Rachel saw him, suspecting he was part of it.
