#1 album and #1 single in the United States (Business as Usual and

"Down Under" respectively)." "They achieved the same distinction of

a simultaneous #1 album and #1 single in the United Kingdom."

  • reminiscing the days of yore.. DISCO .... hahhahahhaha... proud to be an 80s teen

  • :idontwanttoliveonthisplanetanymore:

  • does he have a lazy eye or are they trying to say he is going crazy?

  • Go away... don't come down here no more...

  • Of all the acts that came from Austrailia, I found this one to be the most intriguing. This hit was #1 in The USA in 1982. Too bad after a couple of good years, they vanished from view. Oh well, at least we have this.

  • @kja427 lol@Men At Work being the most intriguing act from Australia: A paranoid Scotsman and his band of jumping Aussies... Nah, Air Supply are far more intriguing: two men singing love songs to each other for 35 without a single cat scratch, or AC/DC... a hard rock band whose most recognizable member is a man who's been sporting a school uniform for nearly 40 years....

  • @nzoz1981 Fuckin' right.

  • @nzoz1981 All the original members of AC/DC were Scottish not Australian, they are technically Scottish

  • @EnjoyEvil29 Most 70's Aussie bands had at least two or three British-born members, so AC/DC (who had three, not all Scottish-born members) are not unique in that regard. I never heard anybody claim Van Halen as being a half-dutch band, and I doubt Flea of Red Hot Chilli Peppers has ever claimed being an Aussie, in spite it being the country of his birth, and Colin Hay is also Scottish, which technically makes 'Down Under' a Scottish song.. none the less, thanx for the boring reply

  • @nzoz1981 - LOL! Uber Ownage!

  • @nzoz1981 AFAIK The BEE GEES were all british exiled too.

  • @EnjoyEvil29 The Young Brothers as well as Bon Scott were born in Scotland but immigrated to Australia at young ages. Current vocalist Brian Johnson and bassist Cliff Williams are from England. Phil Rudd is from Australia making him the only Aussie currently in the band. Former bassist Mark Evans is also Australian.

  • @nzoz1981 LMAO.....hit the nail on the head.....still love this band though :)

  • @nzoz1981 saying ACDC has talent is ilke saying preferring 2 month old milk over fresh milk because it's different and makes you sick for weeks

  • @aangman007 my God, your comment is nearly as pompous as EnjoyEvil's geeky response about technicality. I'm not a music snob, so you're addressing the wrong person, and AC/DC is a talented band, regardless you thoughts on the music.

  • @nzoz1981 LMAO at Air Supply comment... Always wondered who they were referring to in Every Woman in the World video...hahahaha btw love this song!!

  • @kja427 Where can they be now?

  • I was 17..If any of you are from my generation..70's and 80's..You have to agree that music in those days were the very best..Even Motown was good..Today's Music i have no comment

  • The men in black..

  • Amazing!!

  • open the door,it's the pizza dude!!!

  • Haha you could get away with making a song about literally anything at all back than...

  • @DMCCAULEY17

    Indeed.

Society was not as politically correct. Reagan was President. Thatcher was Prime Minister. The Cold War was still on.

The mentality was different than now.

  • Love the saxaphone solo at the beginning and at 2:06

  • rock on

  • Wat i like best about men at work is that wen u watch a video its not all focused on the front man. This video just happens to be more centered on him cuz its more of a narrative but land down under and other songs the camera is on everyone. Most of these bands today and yesterday its all about the premadonna front man always close up on his or her face

  • great song!

  • I listen to a great song, see the related videos, and fall in love with music all over again.

  • The were an excelent band !!!!

  • this was my favorite song when i was a kid

  • Saxo solo love

  • thumbs up if you love hamish and andy

  • maravilhaaa

  • Dang, I heard this from the THING prequel, and was being played on the radio then it brought me here. I think the song really fits with the THING movie, as nobody knows who is the THING and such. SO, who can the THING be, now? XD!!

  • U2 ROLLING STONES THE BEATTLES ACDC THE WHO LED ZEPLIN

  • Yeah most of todays musoc sux i was born in 94 and sadly in my opinion 95 and up is wen rap and other forms of "music" took a foothold. Never knew the lead had a lazy eye

  • Awesome! I wish I was born in a different era, I hate today's music. >.< Well except for some of it. Most of it is blah.

  • "Bombay!

  • I always think of this song whenever I hear a knock at the door.

  • Sing Star 80's baby :O :P

  • JUNCAL Y BILLINGHURST

  • Is that a lazy eye, or a glass eye?

  • LOVE THIS SONG<33333

  • Actually I think the lead singer is THE THING his eye starts to droop halfway through this song, just after the song finishes I am sure his chest bursts open and starts to absorb the other band members!!!!

  • Thumbs up if you are here because of the prequel to THE THING ?

Who can it be now, get it ? get it ?

You gotta be fucking kidding me!!!!

  • In "0:27" MMFFFFFFF

  • The Thing brought me here...heard the sax playing in her headphones and HAD to find this song again...it's been too long! :D

  • @BoJanglezzzzzz yep me too, even as I was lookin at the film (which werent a patch on the john carpenter original) I was thinkin i gotta youtube men at work.

    Small world.

  • @arklowrockz Haha yeah small world! Meh I don't know about the film- think they really paid tribute to Carpenter by doing a prequel instead of a remake, I was quite impressed myself! (as a fan of the Carpenter film too). Just couldn't get over thinking of the main role as the girl from Final Destination 2 xD
