I was at a Tommy Emmanuel workshop a short time ago, and Tommy mentioned Chet's arrangement of this song as an example of one way to make an arrangement more interesting. Chet keeps the melody intact, but he changes the underlying chord progression slightly from what the listener is expecting to hear. This is a very good example of that technique. It's a noticeable but pleasant deviation from the original version.
