While it is acceptable that a lot of people don't like opera or operatic style, the fact is that this style is far more difficult and skilfull than standard pop and crooner style. Pop singers, at best, may learn about breath control, but that's it. Good opera singers learn and develop their techniques over years of rigorous training. How many pop singers do you know can do what she does at 2:18 ?

You use different techniques when singing operatic ( headvoice ) and pop ( chestvoice ) , sounds like she switched from pop to operatic to soon and got caught in some kind of limbo :)

Thirdly, you clearly know NOTHING about singing if you say she sings "false as hell.'" That is proper skilful singing, operatic style, and she clearly has a tremendous range, from contralto to soprano. I suppose you think Madonna is a better singer. Idiot.

brassas - You are an idiot becaus ey ou pass opinions on something you know nothing about. While it is acceptable that a lot of people don't like opera or operatic style, the fact is that this style is far more difficult and skilfull than standard pop and crooner style. Pop singers, at best, may learn about breath control, but that's it. Good opera singers learn and develop their techniques over years of rigorous training. How many pop singers do you know can do what she does at 2:18 ?

Unfortunately I can't write Norwegian. But I can understand that "a school english" person like you will have some problems by understanding. You probably been mostly home in your country, and not used to work abroad or outside your town and country, I've seen bad english skills from swedes before, e.g they need teaspoons. Comparing Stemmes career to Kringelbotn is a little hard since they don´t sing the same parts, Kringelbotn is a very good singer though.
Also none of the people you mentioned so far have the vocal agility necessary to sing "La Voix" ;)

Remember they was slaugthered like rats in Poltava in 1709, and the coward King Charles XII, escaped like a defensless child, unluckilly for to be shot to death in Norway only 1 year afterwards after a failed invasion attemt there as well.

And why should we send a Swedish artist? Maria entered MF this year but didn't qualify since her song sounded like Steps reunited. Definitely not a Eurovision winner. For a ballad we could have sent Sarah Dawn Finer from this year. Or Sanna, Sibel, Sonja, or Shirley. But remember, it's not the artist that wins - it's the song. ;)

This is the first time she does pop and the Swedish audience loved it.
