  • His face remains the same through all the video. In the end when hi s looking at his masterpeace....it is the same face like when hi was hammering. No smile, no pleasure, no nothing...just a regular face of a truly, truly great artist of swordsmiting. I have a feeling that hi s got that same face when hi s walking along the park.

  • Art of swordsmithing.

  • i was wondering the way japanese people read chinese word izzit the same as how chinese people read chinese word and pronouce in the same meaning and same way but different language

  • @taiwanlong Kanji originally came from China, which is why there are many similarities, but once in Japan the language evolved into a completely separate language.

  • I would give every last thing I own for one of Sadatoshi's blades, but on a recent trip to Japan I was devastated to find that a katana made by Sadatoshi would cost me £10.000+. Well out of my price range unfortunately, anyone lucky enough to own one of his blades should cherish it.

  • @dutchschultz1000 yeah, it cost beyond my limits too XD but if i can have one, i certainly would be so happy in my entire life :) Mr Gassan Sadatoshi's katana is like an art, a masterpiece, true work from an artists!

  • A TRUE MASTERSMITH From start to finish.!!

  • love the work but y do there all were white

  • the best sword i have ever seen.a true master

  • It's rare for the smith to polish the sword, he must be highly dedicated to learn both crafts to the highest degree.

  • @ihaterobbie123 Actually, he is just doing a rough polish to check for imperfections before shipping it to the master polisher in Tokyo.

  • I thought it couldn't be possible to carve the blade of a katana. Why is so soft?

  • It is beying carved on the softer iron of the blade

  • Beautiful! Both the blade and the horimono.

  • he is a true artist

  • very nice :) :D

  • Gassan creates a beautiful hamon & is clearly a talented artist! Does (or will) he make a shinsakuto without a hiromono on the blade?

  • Amazing craftmanship! In the age of throw-away products it's nice to know traditional Japanese swordsmithing still continues.
