I am considering getting on for my 2005 V6 Mustang. There are many videos out there though that when the engine is reved, there is an annoying "snapping" sound. It sounds like garbage. I don't want to buy one and hear that. Does anyone know what that sound is and if it can be avoided? Thank you.
the best thing i've found to make a v6 sound half way descent is a flowmaster 70 series... they are for big blocks and rv's... i had them on my 4.3 in my chevy truck and sounded not too bad. but i also had true duals on it with 2 mufflers. they run about 100-125 each i think.. but they did sound a lot better than that muffler in the video..
honestly that sounds like crap. i'm not one for a ricey sounding car. if i'm gonna get an exhaust system for my car i want it to sound at least somewhat like a v8. i do have a '06 stang v6, and i'm looking for exahust...it seems flowmaster isn't the one for me. lol
i honestly think that all intakes are the same, the HP gain from those intakes arent as much as they say, the best way is to just get an intake that has as little bends as possible not name brands.
You know, ford racing has come out with a CAI and tuner package for around $500 I think. Might be worth checking out. Its on the main ford racing website. Good luck wish you the best in your quest to build up your mustang.
that sounds horrible.

Search MAC Boomtube on here. doesn't have that ricey sound, it actually sounds pretty damn good in my opinion.

i wish my mustang sounded like that, do you have any more mods on that mustang?

Don't use K&N, it's all about the AIRAID, and POWERAID Spacer

try waiting like 2 or 3 mins for your car to lower its rpms (750rpms) it wont make that sound

Are you still running with the stock Airfilter/box? That could be why it sounds that way.

Yes. Haven't had the money for a K&N :(
