these old car run well on whisky, for added oomph use a good quality single malt ( highlands best) , also you can use bovril in the cooling system as this will help on cold winter mornings, you can also use the chip fat for a good quality polish ;-)
I had one of these. A fantastic car. You could unscrew the roof and take it off. Also, it had a reserve lever for the petrol tank hidden under a matt in the boot. Very fast and great handl;ing if you got the Mk2.
i remember going to the car auction in exeter with my dad back in 1979 and he bought one of these for £25 a 2 litre straight 6 convertable 1968 model in pretty good nick... alas it was sold on about 6 months later.. back then it was just a 11 year old banger... now there worth a pretty penny
