I like how everyone heard of this song from the princess bride. While I agree that is a amazing movie it's not where I first heard it. It was my grandparents wedding song, my parents song, and now mine and my boyfriends when we get married <3 thumbs up if you think that's cute!
So I have to ask, did you just type 'pictures' into google search? I mean: rope, a passed out drunk, a tombstone.. and that roller coaster that keeps showing up... wtf?
First heard Willy in 77 or 78 when local rock stations played "Spanish Stroll" or "Cadillac Walk" in the wee hours of the morning. I strayed away during the Le Chat Bleu because of my unwillingness to grow with him. Sad I missed all the years between and only now revisiting his work I regret the exit. Tarrentino will use one of his track in a movie and the masses will be introduced albeit too late to the Willy DeVille legacy.
It is appalling that this beautiful song has only 3360 views, when you got "noise" not music, by Justin Beiber getting over 300million views : \ oh well, there loss.
@thisiwas of of the problems is that from countries like germany nearly every version of this song on youtube is simply not accessible or not accessible with audio.

I heard this voice for over 20 years for the first time and I was in love to this voice.
Willy was unique.
His music touched my soul deeply.
Willy - Rest in peace, boy.
