  • 1:44 ALSO MY FAVORITE PART, if i was shrunken and put able to climb it i SO would

  • So, if they are properly trimmed and cared for can you make any tree into a bonsai tree? I only ask because these all see to be different kinds.

  • its wonderful and amazing to see that these bonsais grow the way it is grown naturally, aside from the fact that they're a lot smaller ofcourse.

  • amazing ..

  • Wow

  • Wow

  • i think its a bit of a cruelty. Growing them for aesthetic purposes rather than what they are meant for. Stunting and forcing them into shapes and sizes we desire is being unfair to their original design.

  • @tra962 plants does not have feelings

  • @tra962

Bonsai are invariably better looked after and cared for than any other plant. We treat them more like pets ! Root pruning simply replaces old, redundant roots with young fibrous, useful ones.

Trees in nature are often naturally dwarfed - but they then die. A well cared for bonsai doesn't - and they can live for centuries because of that care.

However, turning trees/shrubs into images of animals or geometric shapes (topiary)- THAT'S weird.

Do you rescue dying trees from mountains ? We do

  • so they dont need alot of root space then? in all of these pics, the pot looks rather small for the tree

  • I have a Benjamin it's all I got tho :/

  • who the hell doesnt think this is bad ass? 12 dislikes my ass! why watch a video on bonsais if you dont love the earth and everything it offers?

  • I have a bonsai its a Ficus Macrophylla and is 26 years old for some reason it has stopped uptaking water and has not dunkin any in over a month witch is unusual and now the roots hav started to rot , so I have repotted into a much lager pot and it seems to be coming back to heath , unfortunatly its lost the effect of the wow in a small pot

  • are those all real?

  • beautiful!

  • To respond to other inquiries, here: The third tree is a Ficus Macrophylla (?) a fig with tough, coin shaped leaves- a very cool species

    1:29 Tamarisk

1:54 John Naka's Juniper (san jose, I think) and yes- it was meant to look like it was just about to fall into the ocean

    2:35 juniper (Kishu)

    3:19 Bald cypress (Louisianna origin)

  • The Beech at 1:45 is proceeded by a dormant Eleagnus and followed by a Ginko

  • I have looked at Easybonsaigarden's web site and I don't think they have anything to do with these particular trees, which are part of an exceptional collection in a museum. Please seek out information at Bonsai Northwest, the Puget Sound Bonsai Association or Pacific Rim Bonsai Collection, itself, if you want real and truthful information.

  • These are Weyerhaeuser's trees at the Pacific Rim Bonsai Collection, Federal Way Washington. You should have given them and David DeGroot credit here. The tree at 1:45 is a beech tree with exceptional branch structure- lovely in the winter with dark red brown buds on silver bark.

  • BURN BURN!!!!

  • haha i used to eat my bonsai's apples!

  • What type of tree is the one at 1:45? How much would it cost to buy in a state like that or what's your best estimate of how long it took to grow that?

    Thanks,

    T

  • Does anyone know what the tree is at 1:44? It looks absolutely amazing! Some people have asked what that tree is but they have received no answer. I would guess a Japanese Boxwood but I have no idea as I'm no expert or even an amateur.

  • These are nice bonsai trees mine just looks hideous. :(

  • @jdfox1

    Hello jdfox1!

    These are REAL bonsaitrees!

You should not buy one of these even if you can afford them!

They will just die in your care and years and years of work is gone into thin air!!

Go with plants like Chlorophytum comosum, yucca palms and other EASY plants that can be wasted without no harm being made!

STAY AWAY FROM BONSAITREES, they are not for you!! ;D

  • Yea i had a plastic palm tree one time but im going to get a real one of those too. Dont know what a comosum is i'll have to look...im going to buy some new house plants for the summer. I love my bonsai tree...is small and brown but its mine and i love it. :)

  • @jdfox1

Hey, don´t you overwater that plastic palm tree Christine, it might turn brown on you! .. ;-) Chlorophytum comosum (this is a latin name for ONE species) is a name for a plant which will probably survive a nuclear war! I think even you could handle it!! .. :-)

Nice to see you use a smiley here! I might have a rude attitude sometimes but I am also a nice person!

  • Yea most of my plants turn brown but my plant climate isnt very good...light is a problem and i take my bonsai tree around with me to the pool for light. I'll look for comosums.

  • @jdfox1

You take your tree with you!?

That is kind of sweet to me!! :-)

There are several indoor-, as well as outdoor plants for poor lightconditions. Ferns and such for example.

  • Yea i do i take it with me to the pool when i tan and stuff it needs outdoor light. Yea im going to buy a fern too.

  • @jdfox1 You know as much as I would like to give you advice if I could, it is hard to do over the internet if one can´t see for oneself what you mean and what you are writing about. Anyway, good luck to you with your plants. Growing stuff is fun and rewarding for oneself and for others! :-)

  • @jdfox1 yeah but you at least had the patience to plant one, ihve had a kit for 3 years and never got to the chance of planting it

  • @xSpartanCx just keep trying.

  • this video is food for the eyes!! those little trees are absolutely beautiful!!!!

  • The Third tree looks like a Jade to me. Looks great, I could see it in nature as a normal size tree.

  • I can't stay away from this video. lol

  • I'd love to see subtitles with the variety / species

  • i really want a bonsai tree. they are soo beautiful and cute. do you know where i can get one?

  • @MissTaylor124 yes they sell seed varietys on ebay ^_^ then you can watch it grow up

  • simply beautiful!

  • i loved them all and music is so nice ...

  • looks like a LOT of work!

i just bought my first bonsai today and i kinda love it :D even though its almost ugly compared to most of those....but its young and im sure it has a lot of potential to become as beautiful as those if i care enough for it..

    btw..no im not gay

  • @Lukaz1989 I don't think anyone was thinking you were gay until you mentioned it. Lol just kidding. It's all good man, bonsai's are beauty. We can't get around it. Many men create bonsai's. It's not 'gay' at all. It's actually very peaceful, and soothing.

  • those are the most beautiful bonsi trees i've ever seen!!! GOOD JOB!!

  • especieis maravilhosas e de auto grau de qualidade

  • Any one know what or where this Music is from please I would be most grateful to find out, really nice and soothing.

  • I heard you can grow a bonsai tree more quickly by growing a branch you cut off from an older full size tree. Is this true and does anyone have more information on it?

  • Wonderful Bonsais.

  • is it possible to grow a bonsai fruit tree and eat the fruit?

  • Yes it is possible to gow them and eat the fruit, but most fruit and flowering plants take many years to mature and begin to make fruits, so grafting a young fruit tree onto an older rootstock is a good idea because it combines a new fresh fruit tree with the maturity of the old, and it will start to make fruits in under a year (Depending on the plant) Try to research "Grafting fruit trees" because it is a lengthy explaination and then come back if you need help.

  • tose are some kick ass mother fucking mister miagie looking mother fuckers right there

  • exquisite !!!!

  • Arces de varios tipos y formas muy interesantes.

  • Lovin it

  • That fourth one looked amazing!

  • b3âut!Fu!!! I l!k3 m3

  • What is the life span of a typical bonsai tree?

  • well since their trees...Immortal as long as the soil is good and it gets water.

  • as long as there's good soil and it's cared for properly, a bonsai tree will live basically forever. i believe the oldest one currently is around 800, 900, to 1000 yrs. old. but don't quote me on that

  • @nanoguy914 uhhh try 300 years big guy

  • @Svideos4Utube

Anywhere from 4days to several hundred years. Depends on the dedication of the Caregiver . (and his kids and grandkids)

  • wats the song called

  • Beautiful!

  • whats the one at 0:30, 1:30, 1:43, 1:57, 2:36, 3:20 ?? if u could answer these then that would be great

  • My aunt is a swedish master at Ikebana which is the "female form" (I belive its yin) of these kinds of arrengements. :) She even teaches the art of Ikebana (I know its two different things but she has all the tools etc) so she has prommised me to help me start with a bonsai :D

Anyone here who knows a simple bonsai arrengement for starters?

  • Well, the most basic tools you are going to need are long-handed shears (Pruning scissors, to trim the tree) some bonsai soil or akadama soil (Available at all Bonsai nurseries, not 100% necessary, but will require later on for other plants. Would you be able to tell me what plants you might be planning to grow for Bonsai?) a root hook (To comb the roots of a plant when repotting, but still advanced for now.) and a tweezer-comb (To clean up weeds & comb the soil.)

If you need more, let me know.

  • Yes, it is fine, but in reality, it requires more time and effort and skill go nurse a great tree!

  • Wow! These are some of the best Bonsai Trees I have ever seen. I will have a go at it one day

  • so beautiful

  • hey nice vid, u should wathc my vidz

  • todos son muy bellos!!!!

  • can anyone plz tell me the tree at 1:43... im in search for my first bonsai..

    thank you

  • i believe it is a japanese maple

  • The tree is a bonsai tree

  • could someone tell me the name of the bonsai´s shown at 1:11 and 2:52 ? if i would grow them from seeds how long would it take before they get the size in the pictures?

Or is it just best to buy them as big tree.

  • The tree at 2:52 is a Prostrata Juniper. I know that actual tree -- it's in the Weyerhauser Pacific Rim Bonsai Collection, which is no longer open to the public. That tree is about 50 years old. The tree at 1:11 is a Japanese Maple and it looks to be about 35 years old. You'll grow old waiting to grow something like that from a seed. Buy them large, and see my videos for information about creation, shaping, care and maintenance.

  • chasnxs, I have seen your pruning a japanese maple. IT's not really good. All it show is how to chop up a maple. Please stop posting ignorance.

  • i saw these in karate kid movie and always wanted one.

    RIP Mr. Mayagi.
