The fez hat is actual from Tunisia (arabic) then to Morocco (arabic) then to Turkey (non arabic) then to syria and lebanon, it's 100% arabic btw.. turkish and greek clothing are all close to the arabic clothes. so no need to be surprised about many cultures wear this hat.
i have an authentic fez hat from one of my family members who had a shriner friend who gave him the fez, i was wondering how much these were worth.

Whenever I see one of these funny hats all I can think of is the Doctor saying
"I wear a fez now."

2) The same hat was used by Greeks and some Italians, as well. It was accepted in the Ottoman Empire in a very late date, in 19th century.

1) Fez is not in Turkey, it's in Morocco. And your story is just full of nonsense and mistakes.
