Gay families and heterosexual families are the same to God. In fact the Bible states that same-sex and different-sex couples are the same to Him. God does not discriminate based on demographic characteristics. "There is neither male nor female, there is neither Jew nor Greek, there is no longer slave or free, you are all one in Christ". Galatians 3:28
The same Mosaic Law appearing to forbid homosexuality also allows slaves to be taken from other nations as stated in Leviticus 15:19-24
And the same apostle Paul who seemed to oppose homosexuality also said women were forbidden by God in 1st Corinthians 14:34-37 from speaking during church meetings. These are but two examples as to why reading the SAME Bible leads Christians to develop MANY different beliefs as to what God's will TRULY is.
When I became born again & learnt about the bible. It was soon pointed out to me that sex outside of marriage was one of the things that is strictly forbidden in the new and old testament.
I didn't like it but it was there in plain view for all to see who are interested in the truth..
Even medically it is best to only have intimate relations with 1 person.
The above also has great significance when dealing with same sex relationships. Even more so as they are strictly forbidden.
There are MANY gay people who have less sexual partners in their lifetime than straight people.
I know many gay Christians who are waiting till they find the right person to get married to, *before* they have sex.
I too disagree with sex outside of marriage (BOTH for straight and gay people), & of course marriage is a commitment & promise before God, nothing to do with the law of that country.
Sadly though, I don't know many straight people who wait till they are married to have sex.
@AlmaGCN you've got to be beyond kidding dude... GAYS WAITING UNTIL "MARRIAGE" BEFORE THEY HAVE SEX?! On which planet?!
And regardless of being gay or straight - sexual promiscuity is up to man's own choices, limited only to his attractivness and abilities. Handsome men *can* have plenty of sex before and after marriage (if they want), while ugly fat bastards are very unlikely to do the same even *if* they wanted to. Same goes for women. It doesn't take much brains to figure it out, you know...
Let me also point out to you that not because Paul's letter made it into what we now call the bible, makes him anymore righteous than anybody else who believe in Jesus AND commit to Jesus' will.
Before He departed Jesus told us to go into the world and teach others all that He had taught us. Therefore, anything that Paul or you pastor is teaching MUST BE of what Jesus taught us. That is the problem we face today, some of us confused ourselves with others' doctrines. Jesus died for me NOT Paul!
Jesus referred to Paul in Acts 9:15, "This man is my chosen instrument to carry my name before the Gentiles and their kings and before the people of Israel." So anything Paul has to say is VERY significant.
But you are right, that does not make him any more righteous than any other Christian. Righteousness comes only from Christ and his atoning blood.
@TruthHopeLove2010, I think I have just read through all my past comments here and I don't see where I said Jesus DIDN'T die for Paul. That is strange because I hold the view that Jesus died FOR ALL MANKIND.
What i am trying to say is that if you love the Lord, then you are His and He will save you.
However God does make it clear in the Word that homosexuality is sin.
Jesus came to save sinners, and please show me someone who is not.
I am sick to death of so-called Christians who treat gays with hatred and tell them "you're going to hell". That is NOT love, that is not even Christian.
The Christian message is salvation by grace through faith.
I too am a straight Christian woman, and i think the most important thing that Christ taught us is to love.
The only thing i hate is hate, and let he is without sin cast the first stone. I think it is clear from the Word that God does not approve homosexuality, but neither does he approve addiction to Oxycontin, and i am an addict. Most likely my comment will not be taken in the manner it is meant, but i love all of the brethren and am not judging...
There is no where in the bible God condemns gay. So your belief that 'God clearly disapprove of gay' is purely your misinterpretation of scriptures. Being gay is not an addiction. So you obviously do not know what is homosexuality. To make it clear, homosexuality is heterosexuality in reverse, so think about how you feel being straight and you will know how it feels being gay.
I have had a relationship with a woman and am now engaged to a man,
I do not wish to be argumentative, Kumtekmeon, but I can send you a list of Scripture verses where homosexuality is shown to be disapproved by God, If you would like to contact me.
I love my gay friends, and I wouldn't be much of a friend if I did not point this out.
Juliet, with due respect, If you are bisexual that is you, or if you were just passing thru a phase, that is you also, but you have no right to use your misinterpretation of scriptures to rub in the face of those 'gay friends' you claim to love. You obviously don't know what is homosexuality, as you seem to think it is just about sex! As for those scriptures, as said before they are misinterpreted and your take on them only serve to make God into a joke, which I know He certainly isn't!
The truth corrects, the truth strengthens, the truth delivers. So far the only 'truth' you people are telling gays only cause them to commit suicide, feel less than human being, become depressed, hateful of self and God. If that's what the truth does, save it for your enemy.
Since you are having a good day, kindly ask God for understanding. Good bye.
May I politely ask, what did I say in my comments for you to incorrectly assume that I do not know what Jesus did for me? You are the one who goes about LIMITING God's power to love all His people. Jesus at no time condemns gays, so your opinion re God's disapproval of gays is your own and not Jesus. Jesus focus was the heart of man AND NOT the sexuality of man. If that's the case He would've made it clear!
I too hope you will have a blessed and enlightened week.
Look, I love everyone and do not want to come here and start quoting scripture, but if you need a wake up call, I will happily give you one, as i do not wish for you to live in a manner unbefitting a child of God. I would hope you would do the same for me.
However, you have made your hostility evident towards me, therefore you may carry on in ignorance if that is your desire.
Far be it from me to come barging in with the Truth and ruin your weekend.
Juliet, there is no middle ground when it comes on to sin. You can't please man and God at the same time, so you claiming to love gays yet saying their lives are hell bound does not hold water; it is either or either.
I am well aware of Genesis, Leviticus, Romans and Corinthians and all those scriptures speak to your misinterpretations!
I see anyone who points to your folly is hostile, well so be it because I refuse to let you or anyone else kill another child for being gay, as God intended!
I love everyone including you! But I hate the fact that you have seen it fit to condemn others because of your learnt objection of gay people, which is due to your MISINTERPRETATION of God's words and your unfounded fear of anything or anyone different from the majority.
I am not surprised, Jesus suffered similar fate, because He fell out of the majority! God's peace with you.
"Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Do not be deceived, neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practise homosexuality, nor theives, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the Kingdom of God".
1 Corinthians 6:9,10
If I did not love you I would not show you that. If you are going to get angry, then get angry with God, because I did not write this!
If you look closely on the first part of that scripture you will see that Paul clearly implied that his 'audience' had already (some way some how) knew what he was now reinforcing. My question to you is where in the bible prior to Paul's declaration, do you find Jesus teaching against homosexuals? I will also inform you that gays DO NOT practise homosexuality, WE ARE homosexuals! Furthermore, the term that Paul used was not homosexual, it was a word that he coined and is now heavily debated!
OMGosh!!! It's so nice to see this video and actually know most of you. Thank you so much for sharing your stories, and I really do miss all of you so much! *HUG*

Jesus is as so understanding that He died for you. What more could you ask of Him?
I do hope you have a good day, and a good life, too. I am not condemning anyone. And Jesus did not come to condemn, either.
You are very confused about who Jesus is and what He did for those who love Him.
