Cool, man - I think the point for some people is just the satisfaction of getting that insanely sharp edge. no I don't think I've ever sat through a 30 minute sharpening video lol
@Lucentdawn Yea, I guess. The funny thing is that I've learned an insanely sharp edge (be it full flat, convex, etc.) still won't cut through wood better than a semi-sharp (non-arm-shaving) scandi ground blade. Bushcraft-wise, scandi is king.
@USNGadgetGuy I mean, I can make a video. I just don't know if people really want to sit down for a good 20-30 min and watch a person sharpen a knife. :D
@hamsteryte Yes, I have used Japanese Water Stones. They are great. Though, diamond stones cut faster. Also Japanese water stones are much better for polishing IMO. The higher grit stones are soft and very delicate on the blade but that's how they are able to put such a nice polish.
