  • Really? Is this what people have come to? I mean, posting on Youtube a bunch of exogenesis verses is not helping anyone out, especially the people who don't know Christ or have a relationship with him. People who see the comments below this video probably think "Christians" are crazy. If you are a Christ follower, then set the things you are posting aside. I mean, we need to be a light if we are following Christ. The things you all are posting back and forth have no benefit for that.

  • @CasinoRoyale0131 I disagree. There are many interpretations of what Jesus means, and they should be discussed.

  • @CasinoRoyale0131 Speak for yourself sir. Even WCSLdglas agrees that it should be discussed. ....He's right. And discussing never hurts anything, as long as it's done respectfully by everyone. This is my intention only.

  • You might consider, ...to use Gods(Jesus') name ANY other way than praise, teaching, witnissing, glorifying, worship, is blaspheme. Even the Jews in the OT would'nt speak the name of God out loud. The first mistake we can make is to assume God's thoughts. Be very careful. Many have seen this, Does it glorify God? You KNOW most of those pics ARE blasphemous. I would encourage you to rethink.... Are you "good enough" to get into Heaven? Are you a "good person"?

  • @smooretogo Hi: Yes, I do believe in Jesus Christ. These pictures illustrate a point. And, no, Jesus does not approve of anything competitive, much less violent sports.

  • @WCSLdglas What scripture support do you have to back your comment? My comment didnt have anything to do with what you said. Notice the "". Those where the questions I would like to relate. Like I said..... The first mistake we can make is to assume God's thoughts.

  • @smooretogo God doesn't have thoughts. God has will. Is it God's will for people to bash each other's heads in at college football games on Saturdays and then go to church on Sunday? No. Is it God's will for people to bet on professional sports? No. Is it God's will for people to sit and watch TV football for 48 hours straight on weekends watching advertising from unGodly sources? No. What about football do you think that Jesus would approve of?

  • @WCSLdglas Football!!! I cant get past your first statement. The Bible declares that God has thoughts. You might reconsider and research a little before commenting. .....Psa 10:4 The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts.

  • @smooretogo There are three parts of God in Christianity: Jesus, God and the Holy Spirit. Jesus is God. God is God. The Holy Spirit helps us in this realm with spiritual and physical matters. Jesus has thoughts. God "the Mother/Father" does not. God is energy, all things in the universe and in all dimensions. Do you play football? I am not wicked. Say what you mean and stop hiding behind the Old Testament.

  • @WCSLdglas WOW, lots of interesting info...Can you supply at least one verse that backs anything youve said? I agree with some of your theology, but if your gonna make claims about God, be ready to back them up is all im sayin. I gave you scripture that says, DIRECTLY, that God has thoughts. The Bible says you and I both have a wicked heart...You should research.

..... (Jer 17:9) The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

  • @smooretogo I don't have a wicked heart. I don't follow anything but Jesus Christ. Which part of my theology do you agree with?

  • @WCSLdglas (Jer 17:9) The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? That verse Clearly says you do. As do I. We have all broken the 10 commandments. We are ALL guilty. No one is without sin. If what you say is true, you dont need Jesus or His forgivness right? What part do I agree with? well very little actually. I WILL though....if you can back ANYTHING you say with scripture. If I'm wrong....SHOW ME.

  • @smooretogo If you quote me New Testament passages that say what you are trying to say, then we can have a good discussion.

  • @WCSLdglas DUDE...What do you want??? sounds like you are battling something more than anything I have to say! Ask A clear question.....and I'll answer however you want...NT or OT. You have to realize...the WHOLE Bible is all about Jesus. Whats wrong with OT? Still scripture. Sounds like you are an inverted Jew.(no offense...just a point) Tired of word babble...............do you have REAL issues or what.? Heres a question 4 u.

............"Do you consider yourself to be a good person?"

  • @smooretogo You're not a Christian. But I am. Take care of yourself.

  • @WCSLdglas You said; "You're not a Christian. But I am." Please explain what makes you a Christian. What makes you think Im not? I'm open to discussion. If I am wrong about ANYTHING....show me. You post this kind of vid, why arent you willing to discuss it.

  • @smooretogo I don't need to prove anything to you. Pray about me.

  • @WCSLdglas VERY well put. I will pray about you. I didnt mean to bug you, just tryin to get you to think is all. I know you are aware if you put up a vid like this, your gonna get witnessed to. Try to be a little open. Not all people on this site are out just to be critical. The first step to being forgiven, is to realize we need to be. That we arent "good" in the eyes of God. ONLY Christ can make us clean before God. We just have to recognize the need for forgivness and how 2 recieve it.

  • @smooretogo You're preaching to yourself. I believe in Jesus.

  • @WCSLdglas The devel and his demons believe in Jesus also. Does believing make you a Christian?

  • @smooretogo You're kidding, right? The Devil and demons DO NOT believe in God/Jesus Christ. WOW!

  • @WCSLdglas .....James 2:19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. You can research all these things I'm telling you yourself. It's not my opinion, it's the Bible. Look again....the book of James CLEARLY says ...the devils also believe, and tremble. How old are you?

  • @smooretogo Stop being confrontational, it won't work with me. You're misinterpreting James 2:19. That passage is referring to the belief "in one God," not a belief in Jesus Christ. Two different things.

  • @WCSLdglas I'm not being confrontational, I'm backing myself with scripture. I can give you more verses if you like. I dont think that would help tho, you seem kinda closed minded. I have the right to comment since you put this vid up dont I? Cant you back your beliefs!!!

  • @WCSLdglas Another...Mar 1:34 And he healed many that were sick of divers diseases, and cast out many devils; and suffered not the devils to speak, because they knew him. .....Plainly states that they(devils) knew Him. ....C'mon man. Why fight so hard to prove me wrong? I'm just quoting the Bible. You DO believe the Bible is the word of God dont you?

  • @smooretogo You're misinterpreting again: "So Jesus healed many people who were sick with various diseases, and he cast out many demons. But because the demons knew who he was, he did not allow them to speak." Of course demons KNOW who God is, but they don't believe in Him.

  • @WCSLdglas Whats the difference? How can you know someone and not believe they exist? Your contradicting yourself. Answer this and we'll call it quits. How does a person become "born again". or become saved, ...or regenerate, or forgiven. All meaning the same thing if you understand. How does one recieve forgivness from God. ...A Bible following Christian should jump at the opportunity to answer this particular question.

  • @smooretogo God wants me to talk with you. Your misunderstandings are dangerous. The Bible uses KNOW in many ways. Like David KNEW his wife. These are English translations, and they are being misinterpreted by yours truly.

  • @WCSLdglas Show me how to interpret then. Your saying demons "know" Christ like David knew his wife. I'm pretty sure it means exactly what it says...why wouldnt it? The Bible is very clear, says what it means and means what it says. Answer my question and we'll call it quits. Why avoid it, I dont understand. Grab your Bible and give me the verses I'm looking for......How does one become forgiven by God?

  • @smooretogo Are you a pacifist? Jesus was. You like to fight with people. Let's get personal: What do you do during the day? Are you in need of employment? Is there any way I can be of assistance to you?

  • @WCSLdglas ......How does one become forgiven by God?

  • @smooretogo It's in the Bible.

  • shut the fuck up.first of all football isn't you hitting someone because you don't respect them, its because they ar the other team. second of all people ask stuff like would jesus do this or that. as if jesus never sinned. jesus sinned many times so if you think hes some anti-sin machine then go and misinterpret your bible for the fifth time and then i will walk to up you and tell you that you aint got no pancake mix

  • Comment removed

  • @CasinoRoyale0131 if he never sinned then why was he even temped by the demons in the wilderness? and if he never sinned then why was he baptised?

  • @TheHHES Jesus could not - by definition - sin.

  • @TheHHES Because he was human. Humans are tempted, but he was perfect. He resisted temptation. Everyone is tempted, as was he, he just didnt give in to the temptation. He was baptized by John the Baptist, and John tried to get out of it. He felt Jesus should baptize him, but Jesus was baptized to show sinners how to fulfill righteousness. But, I do not believe baptism is how you get to heaven, tho it is important. It's through Jesus, and having a relationship with him, and believing what he did

  • OMG 0:39 OMG OMG OMG! OHMIGAWD! THATS LIKE A TWO YEAR OLD! OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG!

  • Jesus would mock you for not competitive and trying to do the best you can at whatever you try to do. Would Jesus listen to this song? I doubt it.

  • @shancock0710 You don't know your Bible, go and read it again.

  • @WCSLdglas agreed

  • Jesus had a twin brother, but he played hockey! Great fighter especially in the corners!

  • Come on people the videos supposed to be a joke

  • Yes and he would play for: Alabama Crinson Tide...ROLL T1D3 ROLL...

  • NO! JESUS would not play football that was not his mission. You all are bring Jesus down to your own level just because you like playing football doesn't mean GOD would. That whats wrong with the church today. Why don't you read your Bible if you have one and see what Jesus like to do instead of making your own Jesus in your own image.

  • Jesus Doesn't mind having fun!!! He knows where your heart is. He wants us to have fun after we serve him first and love our spouses and take care of our families. If our heart is in the right place, I bet Jesus laughs when he hears this song!!!! God bless everyone!!!!!!

  • You don't understand what im trying to say. And its partly not your fault. Because the church thriogh out the Bible a long time ago and this has given place to the Devil. Where in the Bible does it say Jesus don't mind having fun. You made that up. Jesus said to deny yourself. But people Don;t want to deny anything. Thats why God doesn't do anything in the churchs now. Were suposed to get with what he wants. instead of doing what we want, and hope God will meet us there.

  • God wants us to play sports but he wants them to play clean, competetive, and show respect.... something some players dont play with

  • well i think this is a good song, some people might see it as offensive and retarded, but listen to the words. Kind of ironic how the teams pray to God for a safe game, and that they can win, yet whenever something bad happens, or something really good happens in the game, they go berserks and don't act anything like Jesus would. So picture Jesus playing football; What Would Jesus Do? (yeah i know i went there).

  • retards

  • Everybody knows Jesus and has a chance to serve him everyday. Lets just stop there.

Thanks for writing the song and posting it. Its great.

  • why are people afraid to tell the truth? football kills people; football is violent; football causes brpken bones; people who play football professionally are taking enhancement drugs. what about any of this would Jesus approve of?

    NONE OF IT.

  • When I go to the park to throw the football around and play the game with buddies I'm not doing drugs or killing people.

I could run to the restroom in my house and slip because I am wearing socks and break some of my bones. When people get hurt during football it is a tragedy, but part of the game. My brother bruised his bone and over time it died. He had a surgery and to this day he still wishes he could play football although he will never play again. Football can build heart and character.

  • but that's not at all what this song and video are about. this song and video are about competitive sports, football in particular, and all the ungodliness that comes from strapping on helmets and pads and bashing your neighbors until they bleed and their bones are broken. of course you can throw a football with your buddies. sounds like fun. Jesus would approve. slipping on soap in the bathroom is another matter...i'm talking about ORGANIZED, COMPETITIVE SPORTS. thank you.

  • It depends on which way you look at it in any sport.

Nice video though, my mom used it in her R.E class at church for 6-8 graders. Many people had different answers. There were many good examples of why Jesus would and why he wouldn't. It was a great conversation starter.

  • yup, God did give me a great conversation starter.

    thanks.

  • Sports is often healthy to the body and it usually builds self confidence. I believe that Jesus would play football.

  • not true. you surely don't know Jesus.

  • obviously you don't either

you don't tell people that they "don't know Jesus."

when you've never met them before

  • actually i do know Jesus. he gave me the words for this song. and i've prayed about you, and you can't possibly know Jesus if you think Jesus would play football.

  • I think that's a little judgmental.

  • do you think it's judgmental to say that God doesn't want people breaking their necks playing violent, competitive sports?

  • Ditto.

  • Despite some questionable edited graphics intended to pursuade otherwise; Jesus would play. God contemplated the very nature of all aspects of life before creating life. Knowing its proliferation over time, it would be hard to accept that He has not the appreciation of excellence attained in any sport, football included. He created our bodies as temples to our souls to be honored. There is no shame in that.

  • i see that on your video page you mock those kids who can't play sports very well.

would Jesus mock little kids trying to be athletic?

competitive sports is a sham and a disgrace to God.

  • daro2096 has made a comment:

No, I don't think He would either.

That goes for all competive sports.
