OH MY GOD, what is UP with people saying all this stuff about 'customization' on the iPhone.
Okay, there are multiple ways to ALLOW customization. One, of course, is jailbreaking your device.
There are FREE APPS in the App Store in which you can save custom photos to your Photos. Such apps are - Backgrounds, iWallpapers, WallpapersHD, and many others FOR FREE. You CAN customize your Apple device for free without a jailbreak guys...

@bbodio You call it at a hardware bug, but it's not...i don't think Google even officially support multi-touch (though it's available through custom ROM's) so who says it's not designed that way. It's marketed as having a touch screen, not multi-touch like the newer phones with a better screen. The limitation never practically limits the phone anyway, the nexus' multitouch works fine in games. Just another apple fanboy trying to score a point against google..nexus > iphone in every way

@falsepod well yes, that is the best advantage of Iphone over all advanced Android phones. Also i like iPhone's quality of casing. Fills like a well-built block. However i am getting Desire HTC in 2 days, i have heard his casing is pretty good to (soft-touch plastic and steel) - quality of casing means lots for me.
@bbodio the main housing for the nexus one is drilled aluminium, much like you'll find in many apple products. shock horror right? apple aren't the only ones using drilled aluminium, though by the way they bang on about it you'd think they where. so yeah, the body of the nexus one and HTC desire is as high quality as the iphone or any other high spec smartphone you'll find. not only that the nexus one and desire give you access to the battery, unlike iphone

SURELY GALAXY PHONES DO NOT COST HALF THE PRICE OF A IPHONE, but really, unless iPhone 5 gets a targa 3, it is not going to outscore the LG 2X besides, the crappy 1080p HD Camcorder the 2X has.
@chrischoy9 Point... Android runs on tons of phones, of course it outsells it. Best hardware, yes, but iPhone is becoming the gaming device now, it gets better hardware optimization, plus it has pretty good parts, the next release will probably have an SGX 543 duo. It's like Xbox vs PC, yeah my PCs Sli GTX 580 are way better than Xbox's little ATI chip from 2005, but Xbox has optimization and a big user base, so people work with it. Buy an Android phone, be outdated and forgotten in six months.

one thing i have to say is that both phones have "components" features that if we combine them we could make the perfect phone.... i prefer the iphone jailbroken and unlocked eventhough the nexus is fster :) apple apps are better you have an ipod combined with your phone etc........

@yodeler2 if i were you, i wouldn't jump the gun quite yet. i made that mistake twice, first with the mytouch and then with the droid. i'm in the military, so although i don't have a lot of money, i constantly blow it. keep in mind that sprint is releasing the evo (a 4g phone) sometime this summer, and LG is also supposed to be releasing a killer phone with a keypad. remember that keypad on the enV, enV2, voyager, all those phones we loved? oh yeah. if it's on their new one i'm sold!

I have the Nexus, it is amazing, i also went from an Iphone to Android, and i have to say, i am VERY impressed with how amazing Android has become!! i started with the G1, then to the Mytouch, and now the Nexus One and what a huge difference! haha! but anyway, the camera is beautiful, the 720p screen is amazing, the features and all that is just awesome! not to mention full Flash 10.1 is coming to the Nexus in a month, and its only one of 3 phones getting it! awesome!!! Nexus > Iphone imo
I think that the Nexus one already surpasses next gen iPhone hardware, so just wait for Software updates (like the last one that added pinch, and several improvements) , google is doing a really good job here catching up with Apple.
@sglemus The Nexus One now has multitouch for everything I believe. The newer HTC android phones also have multitouch in things like the browser and maps.
@oelergodt I agree, I've been on the iPhone for a while, been a fan of it for a while but I will always go with what I see as the best technology. For me, I may soon migrate to Android because of Apple's closed ecosystem. I've been an Apple fan for a long time and have had a pretty good experience with them, particularly with the OS X platform, but blind loyalty means you don't always get the best technology/experience.

Why should we shut the fuck up? Voiding a warranty? Please... If there's a problem all you have to do is restore the phone to stock condition so the warranty is a non-issue. Jailbreaking takes 30 seconds. A jailbroken iphone has by far more features and more capabilities than any other phone on the market.
and there's proof for that as well - in the iphone he had to write the full address wheres at nexus one he already had it in history, which made it shows up on the list. that was really unfair test.

he's very stupid, he blocked his email from 1:01 until 1:17 but then he forgot to hide it while safari was loading from 1:26 until 1:36 !!!

Hm. Youtube channel on the Nexus was obviously cached as it was in the browser history, whereas the full address was entered on the iPhone. Also failed to mention the built-in video editing functionality and the brilliant tap-to-focus feature on the iPhone. I wonder how much Nexus functionality was missed out similarly...

one thing i have to say is that both phones have "components" features that if we combine them we could make the perfect phone.... i prefer the iphone jailbroken and unlocked eventhough the nexus is fster :) apple apps are better you have an ipod combined with your phone etc........

@yodeler2 if i were you, i wouldn't jump the gun quite yet. i made that mistake twice, first with the mytouch and then with the droid. i'm in the military, so although i don't have a lot of money, i constantly blow it. keep in mind that sprint is releasing the evo (a 4g phone) sometime this summer, and LG is also supposed to be releasing a killer phone with a keypad. remember that keypad on the enV, enV2, voyager, all those phones we loved? oh yeah. if it's on their new one i'm sold!

I have the Nexus, it is amazing, i also went from an Iphone to Android, and i have to say, i am VERY impressed with how amazing Android has become!! i started with the G1, then to the Mytouch, and now the Nexus One and what a huge difference! haha! but anyway, the camera is beautiful, the 720p screen is amazing, the features and all that is just awesome! not to mention full Flash 10.1 is coming to the Nexus in a month, and its only one of 3 phones getting it! awesome!!! Nexus > Iphone imo

I think that the Nexus one already surpasses next gen iPhone hardware, so just wait for Software updates (like the last one that added pinch, and several improvements) , google is doing a really good job here catching up with Apple.

@sglemus The Nexus One now has multitouch for everything I believe. The newer HTC android phones also have multitouch in things like the browser and maps.

@oelergodt I agree, I've been on the iPhone for a while, been a fan of it for a while but I will always go with what I see as the best technology. For me, I may soon migrate to Android because of Apple's closed ecosystem. I've been an Apple fan for a long time and have had a pretty good experience with them, particularly with the OS X platform, but blind loyalty means you don't always get the best technology/experience.

Why should we shut the fuck up? Voiding a warranty? Please... If there's a problem all you have to do is restore the phone to stock condition so the warranty is a non-issue. Jailbreaking takes 30 seconds. A jailbroken iphone has by far more features and more capabilities than any other phone on the market.

and there's proof for that as well - in the iphone he had to write the full address wheres at nexus one he already had it in history, which made it shows up on the list. that was really unfair test.
