@TheInvincibleMonster I had the same question - I looked and looked for a video that showed actually adding a second image and found this one: "Photoshop Elements 9 Layer Masking" (it won't let me insert the actual link)
It's right at the beginning where he shows how to open another image for a texture and add it to the existing layer that you are using. Hope that helps - it's so easy, but hard to find someone showing it!
@camerachick79 With Photoshop elements, if you just copy paste a new photo onto your background it automatically creates a new layer. I hope this helped!
@esko66 There are several free layers similar to the one in this video that are available from many users on flickr.com. I would recommend checking out darkwood67's layers (search flickr members and his name will come up, along with his free layers)
can anyone tell me how to bring the layers up on the lower right side of the edits screen, some how I made mine disappear and cannot figure out how to bring it back, so I am unable to use layers when editing....this is very frustrating.......help please?

How did you add the texture to your layers? I dont know how to put a photo in as a layer.
