The old man is merely loving the publicity. He's not really D.B. and you can't even trust a deathbed confession because there's already been hundreds.
DAN COOPER IS A LEGEND THEY WILL NEVER FIND HIM HE MADE IT WITH THE MONEY BUT I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY THERE WAS 6 THOUSAND DOLLARS LEFT ON THE RIVER BANK DID DB LEAVE IT THERE ON PURPOSE TO SEE IF THE F B I WOULD FIND IT
Just look into Mayfield's life a little bit and you immediately see connections to the hijacking. He knew he was jumping just south of Lake Merwin, probably landing in someone's pasture. He wore shades so his pupils would be dilated when he jumped. Once under the clouds, he could see Amboy and Ariel below him, and he could see the pale green pastures contrasting with the black forest around them. He probably practiced ...
... I suspect he even picked that night *because* of the weather—an experienced night-jumper would be uncomfortable but not overwhelmed in that weather. This made it harder to find him and more likely everyone would conclude he couldn't have made it. He could, and pretty easily. He probably walked into Amboy and used a payphone to call the FBI. Then he buried a bit of the money on the Columbia to distract them. Washougal River my ass. Oh, and guess where they found that parachute ...
Someone could do this. A watch, an altimeter, due diligence, and practice: if you have these and you're desperate, ballsy, and anti-social, this is doable. If you find a pasture, you can find a house with a driveway leading to a road. If you know which way leads to Amboy, you're set. Call a cab (with your own money, of course) and ride to Woodland or Vancouver where you parked your car. From there it's only about half an hour to Portland (in 1971).
MY BAD I DID NOT SEE THE OTHER VIDEOS ..SORRY....Still should done the other bit i said about finding out all the people that stopped work or moved house etc
Why dont they just get the people who saw DB Cooper on the flight to indentify the man they think is the real DB Cooper....and shoud of done the same with the other suspects. OMG.
And find out the men who stopped working at around that time and try to track them down...Also men who may haved moved house\apartments and see what happened to them. i dno
With Respect to Chistiansen, why would any Flight Attendant try and rob his own airline, and then go back to work for it and hope no one ever noticed him? Any idea how often FA's and crew switch planes throughout the country and how many of them know each other? Makes no sense at all, besides comparing a photo to a sketch, there is absolutely NO evidence. NONE whatsoever. I'd write off that PI firm in NY for this one!
my sources say closer to two hours. what are yours?
either way, 90 minutes not enough to get to a phone is an assumption, and not a very good one - unless you stack it on other assumptions that he did not have a viable plan. also not a very good assumption considering that it is the only unsoled one ever.

These guys are very wrong. They are trying to fit a square peg into a round hole. They just throw out everything they don't like.

... "Amboy" is correct.

I meant half an hour from Woodland to Portland.

Turns out that parachute found near Amboy isn't Cooper's after all.

nearly 150 of these attempts between 1967 and 1972. Mayfield's playground. two bodies were found close to where the money was found.

ZERO evidence. Mayfield is Cooper. Just a matter of time.

Because the lead FBI guy in Portland said he called him 90 minutes after Cooper jumped from the plane.
