Alright, I'm convinced. This is going nowhere.

I feel bad for Mallon in a way. This thing was condemned by many fans BEFORE it even saw the light of day. He created bad feelings amongst the mst3k gang, and in turn the fans. If you ask me, I think Mallon single handedly killed this with simply his reputation, this project being good or not.

And that note they wrote to the fans, in a sort of "We're begging you, give us a chance!!" tone, just added to the futile quality of this project.

I agree with srmcd1 and BinaltechGinrai. You can't compare these shorts to the show when not even half the original writers are present. In my personal opinion, I think Jim and Paul are doing quite well with this project, considering the rest of MST3k crew isn't working with them.

Keep in mind though guys that this is just Mallon and Chaplin on this, there isn't any of Hodgson, Murphy, Beaulieu, Nelson, Conniff, Pehl or Corbett that made MST3K a great series. Not saying Mallon and Chaplin are bad, but they lack the others that made MST3K what it is.

These are some of the people who created what I think is one of the best shows on tv. So I know for a fact that this is NOT "the best they can do".
