I think only a crazy person would spend 10k on a watch that tells time. Why you just go get a seiko?
You ask me if you want to look tough and your a guy, you probly shoudnt wear a gold watch with DIAMONDS on it in fact that's kind of femi. You should have gotton a black dial with black bezel or the 50th anniversity one.
If you see, my other videos, you can see I have many watches that pass through my hands. Me I do not wear a rolexes as my personal watch. I have a U-Boat Flightdeck PVD 50mm. As well as a Panerai 341 60mm. But ascetically this steri dial sub is a nice calumniation of sport / and dress.
Because they're wonderful pieces of jewelry, many of us love watches for their design and the movement inside, you will never understand us because you don't like watches like we do, so instead of judging us head to your nearest high-end Authorized Dealer and you'll probably see why we love watches so much. If you think $10,000 is too much go search for Patek Philippe or Vacheron Constantin.
so overall you will be spending around 10K [ including the discount you will be getting if you pay in cash ] for an automatic watch with a date complication... at that price point i would most certainly go for a jaeger master compressor diving gmt, but that's just me ;)
Anyway, wear it in good health mate and have lots and lots of fun with it
ps: irrelevant but i recently purchased the Longines Legend Diver which has become my daily wear. Diver watches seem to grow on me lately :P
They are tough compared to other mechanical watches. I wouldn't say they they are the most durable mechanical watch. However one generally doesn't buy a luxury watch for durability alone. I find it is a factor but. Not the only. I find that panerai watches are extremely durable mech watches. But nothing beats a quartz. Timex takes a lickin and keeps on tickin. =).
The nice thing about Rolex movements is that parts are vary easy to get in case something happens to the movements.
