Peter is doing well. Log into his facebook page and where does regular updates. He is continuing to play with his group, Shoe Suede Blues, even while undergoing daily radiation treatments. What a trooper!
I love Peter and this was an incredible day. He's a down to earth person and just hung out with fans that day. He's funny & has a zest for life...I'd hang out with him anytime!
To the bashers- Peter has a wonderful and very underrated voice. Do a search here for "Come On In", "Tear The Top Right Off My Head" "Monkees Unplugged" and "Prithee" and see for yourselves! You also gotta remember you're watching an amateur recording so of course the audio won't be great.
Hi Sue...i don't think anyone here really bashed Peter, if they did then I would remove the comment. Thanks for your input...I'd love to see him again! ...and he can sing to me all night long! :)
I love Tork, but your advice to listen to those songs just reveals that he does have a weak voice with a very limited range - especially his vocals on Prithee. And remember, I like the guy...
Mike sued PBS for breach of contract over a deal his company had to distribute PBS videos and won. That's where the 40 mil came from. When he mom died he got half of her 50 mil estate as well.
maybe not mike.his mother invented liquid paper(whiteout)and he won a lawsuit for 40 million a few years back.so i think his memories are enough for him.
I don't understand what you wrote. Mike's mom invented whit out. Peter has nothing to do with it. You might know this but it doesn't seem like it form what you wrote. So sorry if you knew this already.
"I'll bet if he could go back,he would have never left the monkees and would have milked it for all it was worth."
Peter? No way. He's still good friends with Davy and Micky and still open to doing Monkees stuff but he's also very happy doing his own thing with SSB. Peter never really cared about fame and fortune. It was and is about the music to him.
Yeah, I wish Peter would stick to jamming and let somebody really great sing. Imagine him doing this type of music with Mickey Dolenz on vocals. Outta site!
My bad choice of words (and I'm a writer, go figure); I meant the sound quality. Peter himself ain't bad -- and I agree, working with Mickey Dolenz would be very good juju!
I have a lovely signed photo of Peter's band, "Shoe Suede Blue." I was supposed to attend his concert at one of my old haunts in Massachusetts, but fell ill and couldn't travel. My friend Abby who was to go with me discovered we had a reserved front-row seat with NAME PLATES when we got there (we were writing a review for his fan club back then). YES, that iS Richard Mikuls.
Hi guys...the sound system was really bad & they kept having to play with the wires to keep it together. We had a great time...they all just hung out the whole afternoon...it was a great time!
Hopeless... are you from Greenbelt? I was at their shows in Ocean City AND Greenbelt. I may have seen you!
The band is called "Shoe Suede Blues". The guitarist is Richard Mikuls, the drummer is John Palmer, and obviously, Peter is Peter. I can't tell who the bass player is because I can't see! It's either Michael Sunday or Arnold Jacks. They sound better in person!
I've seen him at my citys LAbor Day Festival last year. and he'll be there tomorrow! Can't wait to meet him again ^_^ I'm 17, but i love Oldies....i grew up on this stuff
I've always wanted to hear Peter's 'new' band, but was never able to find anything! Thanks for uploaded this one! His voice is too quiet, but I love the song!
Hey there...& thanks for your comment. The sound system was really bad...we were lucky to hear this well. He did a lot of Monkee songs too & sat in with the next band and did a bunch of Beatle songs. It was a great day!! :)
The song is Treat Her Right and I think was originally done by Roy Head and the Traits.

Go, Peter!!! You're a beautiful individual and a great talent. As for your band, well in my opinion, they kick bloomin' arse. :)
