@ihasch: I appreciate your informative reply. It's the black beret that makes me doubt. I think it became a popular piece of outfit later than 1976, but found a picture of early 1977 with Debbie wearing it.
Anyone who has ever listened to Blondie's 1976 LP cannot maintain that they were a punk band. Indeed they never were. And I agree that Blondie was trendsetting - maybe that helps to explain the early use of the black beret as well.
Yet I can't recognize Debby's style here on the 1976 cover.
@hminkema-Tommy Ramone once said that the Ramones were considered punk when it was viewed negatively and not punk when it was viewed positively. If punk is being part of the mid-70s NYC rock scene, then Blondie was punk. If it means playing back to basics music that contrasted deeply with the mainstream music of the time, they were. (Their early performances had a definite edge). If it means music based on anger/frustration, then no. I see it as the 2nd but the 3rd is the dominate view.
@ihasch good comment.very insightful. Being that they were part of the CBGB's scene, Blondie will always have ties to punk. I was in the punk minority during highschool, and most my friends branched off to hardcore or skate punk. I preferred to go more for the darker stuff like Siouxsie, Jesus and Mary Chain. One thing we all had in common, though, was that everyone had a soft spot for Blondie.
@wrobinson7-Blondie was always on the Razor's Edge. A band from the NYC punk scene was not "supposed" to be the biggest commercial band in the world, just as it was not "supposed" to have Debbie Harry as a lead singer. I don't think that even they knew entirely what to make of it, and the creative tension between these conflicting elements (art/punk vs. pop) gives their music its enduring quality while predicting the attempted rejection of mainstream success that did ultimately happen.
I know that the song "In the flesh" is from Blondie's 1976 album. Yet I seriously doubt that this video is from the same period. The outfits just don't seem to match. New Wave hadn't come up yet, and also the film quality seems to be later than 1976 to me. And Debbie is obviously playing with an identity she hadn't adopted by 1976. So who knows in what year this video was actually shot?
What's funny is that not only is the look completely modern, with barely any hint of the 70s, she manages to take doo-wop pop from the 50s and turn it into something fresh that still works. How did she do it?
fucking hell. i really would give my life to be chris stein during the 70's. to make love to, write music and do drugs with debbie would have been more then satisfactory.
@edn172 Ha! Ha! Ha! Never thought of it or heard it put like that but i have to agree! The Ultimate Chicki Babe to get nice and mangled with. Im not an envious bloke but i have to say in Chris Stein's case i AM! She was nuts about him for sure, and i dont think she would have ever left him unless he wanted it so.
@boltonox Yeah totally. She loved him deeply for sure! It takes a lot of strength and hope to put your multinational star status on hold to go nurse your partner back to health with no guaranty he'll even live. Or that you'll even have a career after if he does. But she still stuck with him through it all. What a brilliant girl Debbie is.
@edn172 I guess thats why im pissed at Chris Stein, He had the most beautiful, inteligent, talented woman who was nutso in love with him, even to her own detriment and he didnt want her! Sure people say she left him but even the loyalest of dogs will eventually leave if you treat it bad enough for long enough. Either way, it still adds up the same, he's the man and if he had wanted her he,d have married her sometime in 12 years! Maybe Different Religious beliefs played a part in his choice?
@boltonox well since chris's condition was stress related, after he recovered he started doing lots more drugs to try and deal with debt and stuff. but debbie on the other hand didnt want that life any more decided to go clean. i guess they just wanted diferent things. it's a shame what a rocord company can do to a relationship. still though, i would have done anything to keep debbie from leaving.
@edn172 True! I was wrong to judge his actions and motives, I think im must be suffering with gelousy, but if i met her i reckon i would of married her ASAP way before all the shit hit the fan. He obviously had his own reasons why he didnt and its his right not too. I wonder if she's seeing anyone at the moment and if so who? i really hope she is but i havnt hear of anyone latley. I dont understand why but she's one of the few females that has a estranged fascinating quality that intrigues me.
@boltonox Ha, I know what you mean by the estranged faScinating quality. It intrigues me too! Chris is married to a woman 25 years younger and has two kids. I dont think Debbie is seeing any one but I know wknow to honest. I know what you mean though, I would have given anything to make things work if i were Chris.
@edn172 Yeah, ive always gone nuts for beautiful intelligent women with anti-socialbut complex natures. I went with a girl who looked very similar to Deb, she was a strange combination, beautiful, sexy, and very unorthodox for a female. Not into the house and family stuff like most females. Most Women instantly loathed & detested her, even before speaking to her. Guys fell over themselves trying to talk to her, BBQ's get togethers and Chrismas work parties was a gauranteed instant DISASTER!
@boltonox Ha ha, good for her. And you! Oh and i think you just summed up the perfect woman. Intelligent with anti-social complex natures. Oh and course beautiful, sexy and unorthodox!!
Don't know where you get your stats from, saying 'most woment' - how many women do you know that is so representative of that statement?
I love Debbie Harry - and this track is totally transfixing as is her beautiful face, and the way she delivers the song. Fantastic group, jaw dropping songs an a beautuiful, stunning lead singer.
@LovelyLeeds Oh.... those stats! Well unless your a complete twat and come from the far away planet "Dumb Ass" you would be aware that the majorirty of the female human species generally 1. Do eventually want to pro-create 2. do pro-create a minimum of 1 and a maximum of approx 20 or more offspring 3. These breading females are then called mothers and generally require a safe place to raise these offspring, called children, in a suitable habitate commonly called a HO...ME for the next 20 yrs!
Attention all posters: Youtube sometimes has it's jump routines chemically modified, usually when playing Debbie(understandable), and forgets to take a Post click. So you bang away and voila, multiple copies of your current message appear like magic. People think you're talking to your self... Hard not to do when inhaling this girl's face.
Attention all you Debbie lovers: If you want pure, unadulterated Debbie Harry doing pure, beautiful, unscripted Debbie things, like sticking her tongue out at you, cartwheel on Coney Island and romping in the surf, wearing beret and black, leather spy coat, etc., view Call Me, posted by emi music. (NOT emiamerica...) Search 'Call Me emi music'. I just viewed it a second time. I'm trying to find my oxygen cylinder...
@boltonox You have no idea, my son, no idea... BUT if you Google Debbie Harry you'll find many sites with millions of pictures including a zillion magazine covers from all over the world. Now, if you want to immediately see how hot she was, Search youtube for the OFFICIAL video Call Me, posted ONLY by emi music. NOT emiamericarecords. Same company, different postings. That's if your statement was a question and not a declarative,
@KitCox Hi kitcox, thanks i watched CALL ME by emi, Your right man unbelievable. I watched it at least 20 times. If there has ever been a female with a more beautiful face i havnt seen her! She doesnt even appear to be wearing make-up at the beach, i can see very fine freckles when she tilts her face up to the sunlight. Without mak-up she looks 19 or 20 years old but i know she must be around 35 years old in this clip. Now thats a face that could launch a thousand ships! I envy Chris Stein!
@boltonox Yeah, ya right. They don't HAVE enough ships. If you view other Blondie/Debbie youtubes you will see my comments about her incredible, drop dead gorgeous, beautiful face posted throughout. Two videos that were intentionaly framed to do(mostly) nothing but show this girls beautiful face are Heart of Glass and Denis. They(and Debbie) KNEW what they were doing. Both are by emi, BUT, Heart is emiamericarecords and Denis is emimusic. SAME company, DIFFERENT postings. They don't overlap.
@KitCox Look i like Lady GaGa quite a bit but to me she doesnt qualify as a beautiful woman. She's not ugly mind you, she's attractive in a tragic wacky street hooker/tranny kind of way but i dont see that as having anything to do with true feminine beauty at all. She isnt beautiful, but she isnt ugly either she's somewhere in between....average i guess like most of us. So she gets 0 Milliedebbie's
@boltonox Actually I do think GAGA is pretty, and maybe 5 millidebbies. And I DO like nasty bump and grind, but some of GAGA's stuff doesn't do it for me. A bit too weird and androgynous. Also, I think GAGA, like Madonna, is no dummy. She's making as much as she can while she can. She found a market and is selling it very well. My hat's off to her for that, and I'd say to her: You go girl. (And she does have a nice body for sure.) My son loves her.
@KitCox Yeah GaGa's got some talent, today, the dumbest music performer has a team of accountants, managers, legal councilors to protect them on the business end. I dont see her lasting myself, the candle that burns twice as bright burns half as long and because of her extreme image its going to become difficult to take it further without hitting the sensorship ceiling. She could re-invent herself like female singers do but its the eyes wide shut kinky sex image thats become her trade mark brand
@boltonox About the thousand ships. That was what was launched for Helen of Troy, who was considered to be the most beautiful woman in the world at the time. Isaac Asimov, a science/science fiction writer coined the unit millihelen to mean the amount of beauty that can launch one ship. If Asimov had met Debbie, he would have ammended it to millidebbie. SO, how many millidebbies is Lady GAGA, sportsfans? (Beauty, NOT performance routines.)
So amazing that almost every blondie song, even in 1976 had a video made.MTV when this was filmed was 5 years away!! Debbies personal style is what stands out the most here. Her look does not look dated like other women you see from that year.
@sibalogh View her Denis and Heart of Glass by emi. Search emi denis and emi heart of glass. Denis is really good, execellent closeups of her beautiful face and mouth. She kisses the mike right at you in Denis.
You guys should read the book "Debbie Harry Sings In French" by Megan Brothers, when i first read it i had no idea who debbie was so i didn't appreciate it as much as i do now (now that i know her) its about a boy who so despreatley adores her that it hurts. her beauty her everything. A really interesting book.
@NamathTheLegend OK, you're a woman, right? Otherwise NamathTheLegend sounds like a guys youtube name, which would make your statement about being straight, ummm, redundant? I'm male and straight and of course I melt when I hear her. I have trouble breathing when I look at her...
@CaptainScarlet2006 When you launch the video and the ad pops up immediately reload the page. Almost every time the video will restart without the ad.
Debbie Harry e a melhor cantora de rock de todos os tempos!!!! linda voz, carismatica e principalmente muito atraente!!! da de 10 a zero nas cantoras de hoje em dia!.
Madonna does NOT look hot anymore, she's way too wiry and sinewy looking with veins and wrinkles popping out. Check your eyes bros! The only thing decent about madonna now is that she's still slim, that's all. Debbie still looks good, she's freakin 65 years old and she looks natural and she's been off drugs for decades now.
@guyinsf I agree. I think Debbie, even being a decade older, still looks better than Madonna. Debbie hasn't pretended to 'age gracefully' but she isn't trying to compete with girls half her age either. Madonna always tried too hard with her look, especially now. Personally I think she understood on some level that she would never have the natural beauty and grace women like Debbie and Marilyn Monroe were blessed with, and chose to shove herself down people's throats as an alternative.
@vitoperron Everybody "...was fucking with them drugs,,," You don't think that Madonna didn't do drugs, do you? That wasn't what made Debbie fat. Can you spell food? If Debbie was dropped off on Castaway island with all the drugs in the world, after 6 months she'd weigh 102 pounds. And for me, I'd weigh 128 like I did when I was 21. At 5'8", ALL Air Force Cadet navigator MUSCLE. AMERICA should spend six months on Castaway island for that matter. Have you seen the people waddling around Wal-Fart?
@KitCox Ha! Ha! Ha! thats funny. I went to America 3 times and its true! lots and lots of round chunky people but i think the western world are all turning into a bunch of fat bastards. If i was a Rockstar id be as high as a MTF too! I reckon Debbie would still get it on. She's not going to NEVER get high, thats for sure, thats just the crap every famous person has to say when asked by interviewers "do you still take DRUGS!" NOOOoooooo! im reformed now.....Modified my drug usage is more like it.
@boltonox Actually, there IS an interview, where they pass a joint. The Coca Crystal interviews in 3 parts. Don't have the date and obviously this is NOT mainnstream interviewing. But Debbie is so cute to watch in this. In the first part Stein passes it to Debbie. Coco is clearly chemically adjusted in the interview...
@KitCox Saw Coco video's, imagine the shit you'd cop doing a tv show like that today passing doobie's around HA! I laughed when Coco tells Chris Stein to be quiet and let Debbie speak, i was thinking the same thing. He strikes me as quite a manipulative sort of chap, If she's asked about any personal stuff i.e "marrige", he jumps in, answers, which then que's her to answer likewise. He even did this in a recent interview and she took his leed. She loved him fuckin hard i guess, lucky Bastard!
This group were so cool and ahead of their time. Infact does anyone else agree that if this video was released today they would not look or sound dated? And this was 1976 for gods sake. Pre Punk!!!
While all the other female stars at the time were wearing bell bottoms and dated looking outfits Debbie Harry had 2010 in mind when she put this getup together! She's always been a step forward!
Hey, I like Debbie Harry a lot. But, her outfit in this video wasn't original in terms of style. Starting in the late '40s and continuing right up into the early '60s there was a subcultural group called the Beatniks. Debbie's fashion style in this video is a slightly modernized (for 1976) version of Beatnik style fashion.
@Omnicronimous Yes you are correct but dressing like a modernized beatnik in the mid 70's amidst all those bell bottoms and polyester IS being ahead of one's time because no one was really doing it but her.
The thing about Debbie Harry is that most people know her because of her looks, but she's very smart, very talented, and cool. She always has been, and will be. Teenagers & those in their 20s who are into music could learn a lot from Blondie, and all the other bands from the early days of Punk Rock
This woman is completely underrated. Her voice. Her beauty.Everything. I love her always, always wanted to be her.All through growing up SHE was the woman I wanted to look like.....the pic on the back of Plastic Letters is my fav pic of her of all time, she looks a bit rough even but the epitome of glam. She even made the dress she wears on the front of PL.I personally think she is too beautiful to be taken as seriously as she should have been.I will ALWAYS love Debbie.
@sugarkaneandchloe Well sugarkane Debbie sure is one hell of a great role model, good on ya girl! I didnt realise the dress she's on the cover of plastic letters was her own but of coarse it would have been. Deborah Harry is a very rarest of female's, in fact i cant think of any female ever that i could classify with her. Most girls like her are usually just wacky butt ugly man hating nutjob lesbians or physco's. But she never lost her feminine nature, even now she's 65 she's still hot! Cheers
@caprice6 I believe he/she knew that. (Sarcasm is hard in writing.) That doesn't mean he, if doetim is a guy, will be feeling better any time soon. Every time I watch her I get real lightheaded. (I believe it has something to do with what Robin Williams said about men having only so much blood for their brains and...)
@doetim YEAH! YA RIGHT!!! LOL. Keep in mind, all you Debbie adorers: This incredibly beautiful face and mouth and voice was born 1 Jul 1945. Lessee, 5 from 6 is 1 and 4 from 7 is 3. This gorgeous thing was 31 when she and Chis Stein formed Blondie, the year of this video. Together they broke ALLLLL kinds of new ground. By herself Debbie broke all kinds of hearts.
@MrHodgeheg123 You and I are not alone. View other postings this page, and others, about Blondie and her. All I keep seeing are comments about how beautiful she is. It's all about the girl and her beautiful mouth and upper lip. She said in an interview, "...I'm the girl with the heartshaped mouth." She actually sings a song called, "Nothing But The Girl." YES! It's the girl alright.
@nauort23 The ear was not the thing they were emphasing. It was her beautiful profile, mouth and upper lip. The ear was just lagniappe. There's not a square milimeter of flesh on this girl that isn't beautiful. Reason? It's all attached to her face.
@nauort23 PS And THANKS for calling my attention her beautiful ear! I get so tied up on her face and mouth I forget about everything else. You'll notice that in 90% of her pictures and vids she wears those delicate little gold loop pierced ear retainers that you see here. Rare to see her with ear rings.
I was a young bloke when I first ell in love with her ... now I'm an old man and she still gives me wood watching her in this - what a freeking hornbag!
thanks for this post, Blondie made it in Europe first, I remember getting the first 3 albums at the age of 8, the Punk explosion was still in swing even though the Sex Pistols were over, I know that the Ramones were doing it before, but the look-style-attitude was amazin to be part of, lads in Doc Martins an drainpipes mo-hawks, women in torn fishnets,
ok darlin's lets get our little egos in perspective; nobody is perfect but Debby was a trailblazer and Blondie hit it in OZ as did ABBA....... and a blind boy whom I knew last saw her on TV before becoming totally blind at 15 y,o. so she remains in his consciousness.......lets put our petty opinions aside and realize she's a winner and does it for the ART not the $ like Madge{}}}}}}}
The band looks ultra stylish here. Clem is immaculate in his look and I assume even though we don't get a close up that Jimmy's wearing the same thing.
Debbie as always...stunning. Whether it's this or her rough New York Bowery look.

Stop the imposing comments. She lives as she wants and wanted to. She created her life out of her own wishes and not out of the go with the flow of average persons who compensate for their overworking by being critical of others who enjoy their lives more than those who knock them.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Yeah she's a great woman and has accomplished alot over the years and will always have a beautiful voice. But even Debbie Harry is not perfect and I can find 3 things wrong with her. 1 she never married at all! 2 She never had children. 3 She is a victim of beauty. But in her career life she is a great music artist and will always be a great singer. I just wish Blondie would make another album it's been too long!
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Because we should all want to have children in life. I made a fictional video of her called ''So Sad Deborah Harry'' It was just something that I thought about in the back of my mind, it's about Debbie who is not married and does not have kids. Maybe it's just me but I can't help feeling sorry for her cause she never fulfilled those natural tasks in life. We are all put on this earth to have children.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Well if you read my comment carefully you will see that I said that only I feel a bit sad for her. I never said Debbie felt sad aout herself. I love the woman and are very thankful for everything that she has done for us. I just wish that she was married with kids I am allowed to have an opinion you know. Debbie is like a beautiful, spiritual goddess that no man can ever touch, so it's no wonder why she distances herself from ever getting intimate with a man. And I am not a religious freak!!
However I go by the rule that if someone is not feeling sorry for him/herself, there is no reason for any of us feeling sorry for them. That's counter-productive.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
That is where I agree with you guyinsf. It is a waste of time feeling sad and sorry for someone that doesn't feel that way about themself. I look at her face and can't help thinking ''Why didn't this beautiful woman ever have children?'' It is a shame but as long as she's happy with her life then i'm happy. And my video of her which is titled ''So Sad Deborah Harry'' is totally fictious, it was just my view of the fact that she never married or had kids. But at least Debbie isn't the only one.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
It's offensive to say 'We are all put on this earth to have children' - it's an affront to personal choice, and suggests childless people have pointless lies, which is ridiculous as well as rude.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
I never said anything offensive. You took what I said and turned it into an offensive suggestion yourself. I never offended anyone nor did I say or suggest that it was pointless. If you got offended by my comment which wasn't at all offensive or intended to be then that's your fault! You can't accept freedom of speech! I never said not having children was pointless. If I want to feel sorry for such a beautiful woman than I will. Maybe you think it's rude because your a sad person yourself.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
You've just proved my point by assuming I'm sad. And if you're so keen on freedom, where is MY freedom to find what you said offensive? And please learn the difference between 'your' and 'you're' - you've already made yourself look like a moron, so why make it worse?
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
All I said was the woman was not perfect, then all you pushy individuals had to come along and give me a hard time over a simple comment. You must be sad if you're kicking up a stink over nothing. I have to put up with shitty useless comments from everybody else so now you know how it feels. Get a life you loser and start growing up and accepting what other people have to say! And by all means have you're freedom to get offended and act like a baby over spilt milk. Please grow up!
It just seems strange that you would worry about someone else for something that the someone in question has no issues with. If married with children is your idea of "perfect" then all well and fine, but other people have their own ideas, and as long as THEIR goals are fulfilled there is nothing sad about them. It seems rather selfish that you would judge the quality of everyone else's lives by your own personal standards. How would you feel if someone who disliked kids called your goals "sad"?
@xXPinkGoddessXx First of all I wasn't judging anybody and only having an opinion on it and second it wouldn't bother me at all if somebody else disliked or felt sad for me.
In this day and age people get offended over nothing.

Guys fell over themselves trying to talk to her, BBQ's get togethers and Chrismas work parties was a gauranteed instant DISASTER!
boltonox 1 year ago 5
@boltonox Ha ha, good for her. And you! Oh and i think you just summed up the perfect woman. Intelligent with anti-social complex natures. Oh and course beautiful, sexy and unorthodox!!

@boltonox
LovelyLeeds 1 year ago
@LovelyLeeds Sorry but what stats are YOU refering too?
boltonox 1 year ago

That's if your statement was a question and not a declarative,
KitCox 1 year ago
@KitCox Hi kitcox, thanks i watched CALL ME by emi, Your right man unbelievable. I watched it at least 20 times. If there has ever been a female with a more beautiful face i havnt seen her! She doesnt even appear to be wearing make-up at the beach, i can see very fine freckles when she tilts her face up to the sunlight. Without mak-up she looks 19 or 20 years old but i know she must be around 35 years old in this clip. Now thats a face that could launch a thousand ships! I envy Chris Stein!
boltonox 1 year ago

So she gets 0 Milliedebbie's
boltonox 1 year ago
@boltonox Actually I do think GAGA is pretty, and maybe 5 millidebbies. And I DO like nasty bump and grind, but some of GAGA's stuff doesn't do it for me. A bit too weird and androgynous. Also, I think GAGA, like Madonna, is no dummy. She's making as much as she can while she can. She found a market and is selling it very well. My hat's off to her for that, and I'd say to her: You go girl. (And she does have a nice body for sure.) My son loves her.
KitCox 1 year ago
@KitCox Yeah GaGa's got some talent, today, the dumbest music performer has a team of accountants, managers, legal councilors to protect them on the business end. I dont see her lasting myself, the candle that burns twice as bright burns half as long and because of her extreme image its going to become difficult to take it further without hitting the sensorship ceiling. She could re-invent herself like female singers do but its the eyes wide shut kinky sex image thats become her trade mark brand
boltonox 1 year ago
@boltonox About the thousand ships. That was what was launched for Helen of Troy, who was considered to be the most beautiful woman in the world at the time. Isaac Asimov, a science/science fiction writer coined the unit millihelen to mean the amount of beauty that can launch one ship. If Asimov had met Debbie, he would have ammended it to millidebbie. SO, how many millidebbies is Lady GAGA, sportsfans? (Beauty, NOT performance routines.)

vitoperron 1 year ago
@vitoperron
Madonna does NOT look hot anymore, she's way too wiry and sinewy looking with veins and wrinkles popping out. Check your eyes bros! The only thing decent about madonna now is that she's still slim, that's all. Debbie still looks good, she's freakin 65 years old and she looks natural and she's been off drugs for decades now.
guyinsf 1 year ago
@guyinsf I agree. I think Debbie, even being a decade older, still looks better than Madonna. Debbie hasn't pretended to 'age gracefully' but she isn't trying to compete with girls half her age either. Madonna always tried too hard with her look, especially now. Personally I think she understood on some level that she would never have the natural beauty and grace women like Debbie and Marilyn Monroe were blessed with, and chose to shove herself down people's throats as an alternative.
xXPinkGoddessXx 1 year ago
@vitoperron Everybody "...was fucking with them drugs,,," You don't think that Madonna didn't do drugs, do you? That wasn't what made Debbie fat. Can you spell food? If Debbie was dropped off on Castaway island with all the drugs in the world, after 6 months she'd weigh 102 pounds. And for me, I'd weigh 128 like I did when I was 21. At 5'8", ALL Air Force Cadet navigator MUSCLE. AMERICA should spend six months on Castaway island for that matter. Have you seen the people waddling around Wal-Fart?

She's not going to NEVER get high, thats for sure, thats just the crap every famous person has to say when asked by interviewers "do you still take DRUGS!" NOOOoooooo! im reformed now.....Modified my drug usage is more like it.

@boltonox Actually, there IS an interview, where they pass a joint. The Coca Crystal interviews in 3 parts. Don't have the date and obviously this is NOT mainnstream interviewing.

While all the other female stars at the time were wearing bell bottoms and dated looking outfits Debbie Harry had 2010 in mind when she put this getup together! She's always been a step forward!
guyinsf 1 year ago 7
@guyinsf
Just a friendly FYI. ;-)
Omnicronimous 1 year ago
@Omnicronimous Yes you are correct but dressing like a modernized beatnik in the mid 70's amidst all those bell bottoms and polyester IS being ahead of one's time because no one was really doing it but her.

Why is not being married or not having any children a flaw?
guyinsf 2 years ago 5
This comment has received too many negative votes show
Because we should all want to have children in life.

"We are all put on this earth to have children."?????
That sounds like something a religious freak would say.
I SERIOUSLY doubt that Debbie Harry is sitting at home feeling sorry for herself for the fact that she's not married or has no children.
I think this view is just too old-fashioned and biblical to me.
guyinsf 2 years ago
This comment has received too many negative votes show
Well if you read my comment carefully you will see that I said that only I feel a bit sad for her.
Adam060756 2 years ago
I understand what you're saying.
However I go by the rule that if someone is not feeling sorry for him/herself, there is no reason for any of us feeling sorry for them. That's counter-productive.
guyinsf 2 years ago
This comment has received too many negative votes show
That is where I agree with you guyinsf.

It's offensive to say 'We are all put on this earth to have children' - it's an affront to personal choice, and suggests childless people have pointless lies, which is ridiculous as well as rude.

You've just proved my point by assuming I'm sad. And if you're so keen on freedom, where is MY freedom to find what you said offensive? And please learn the difference between 'your' and 'you're' - you've already made yourself look like a moron, so why make it worse?
BlueSmurf10 2 years ago

All I said was the woman was not perfect, then all you pushy individuals had to come along and give me a hard time over a simple comment. You must be sad if you're kicking up a stink over nothing. I have to put up with shitty useless comments from everybody else so now you know how it feels. Get a life you loser and start growing up and accepting what other people have to say! And by all means have you're freedom to get offended and act like a baby over spilt milk. Please grow up!
Adam060756 2 years ago
It just seems strange that you would worry about someone else for something that the someone in question has no issues with. If married with children is your idea of "perfect" then all well and fine, but other people have their own ideas, and as long as THEIR goals are fulfilled there is nothing sad about them. It seems rather selfish that you would judge the quality of everyone else's lives by your own personal standards. How would you feel if someone who disliked kids called your goals "sad"?
xXPinkGoddessXx 1 year ago
@xXPinkGoddessXx First of all I wasn't judging anybody and only having an opinion on it and second it wouldn't bother me at all if somebody else disliked or felt sad for me.
