Don't buy this deck ppl, it's functionality is pretty good but after a while the silver paint on the plastic starts to fade really bad.

Can these cd players that have the usb port store the music from the usb in the cd player or does it only work when the usb is plugged in?

@danti17 The USB port will simply play whatever is hooked up to it. The stereo has no starage on it at all. I have an 8 gig USB flash drive that I can keep loads of tunes on or hook up an ipod. I love this radio, had it for 3-4 years now.
