i have had mice in my house since Wednesday, the first one was in my room det traps turned of lights and within 5 mins the first snap then it is still going on and i heard another snap last night and killed mouse number 5 and i dont no how many is left :(
This is incredibly cruel. Look at how long it took him to die. Why wouldn't you use a humane trap? Could it be some people simply enjoy killing animals?
@Jaapman The minute that trap snapped the mouse is dead, providing that the mouse takes the bait at a certain angle. what you were seeing was involuntary spasms when the mouse was in fact dead, not alive. They kick for a few seconds after death and then stop. This video isnt cruel. Although rather then the wooden snap trap used in this video there are a lot more new century products on the market today that do the job that it was intended to do

If you capture a mouse and release it in a field a couple of miles down the road it will not come back. If you seal off your house they can't re-enter. If you have a cat- the scent will also keep mice away. There is absolutely no need to kill them.

They can't be allowed to roam free in a house, especially not one with electricity - they cause quite a few fires and no human should have to die because of fear of killing it. Live trapping it and releasing it elsewhere only results in a much more violent death - the mice in that region will tear it to shreds the moment they realize it's there. Mice are very territorial. The only "humane" option is a quick death.

At the end of the day, a mouse is an animal trying to steal your food. It's no different from a group of one gorrillas moving in on the territory of another. They fight over the territory and the stronger group gets the prize. Thats nature my friend. Something else you will have to learn to deal with. If you carry that much ignorance and naivety through your life, I guarantee someone is going to fuck you over, and I get the impression you'll thank them for it.
p.s I've got one these little bastards under my kitchen floorboards right now. I've been after it for weeks. Used loads of these traps but the mouse knows how to set the trap off safely and then steals the food at its leisure. It's a fucking mastermind but its starting to get cold here and its starting to get desperate. Its showing itself a lot more cos its after food. When I catch it, I'm stabbing the fuck out of it repeatedly with a carving knife. Deal with it.

intelligent little bastard tested the trap first to see if it would give way! always find it funny when it gets their leg instead, then I have to flush them down the toilet, prefer a swift neckbreak or head cave in though if I have to be honest.

@FOGoticus I highly doubt the trap broke its neck. I have a different trap that definitely does NOT break the neck of the mouse, and as they are being strangled to death they react this way.

At the end of the day, a mouse is an animal trying to steal your food. It's no different from a group of one gorrillas moving in on the territory of another. They fight over the territory and the stronger group gets the prize. Thats nature my friend. Something else you will have to learn to deal with. If you carry that much ignorance and naivety through your life, I guarantee someone is going to fuck you over, and I get the impression you'll thank them for it.

p.s I've got one these little bastards under my kitchen floorboards right now. I've been after it for weeks. Used loads of these traps but the mouse knows how to set the trap off safely and then steals the food at its leisure. It's a fucking mastermind but its starting to get cold here and its starting to get desperate. Its showing itself a lot more cos its after food. When I catch it, I'm stabbing the fuck out of it repeatedly with a carving knife. Deal with it.

Nature is filled with countless examples of animals who kill other animals for no good reason other than to eliminate competition for food or to steal their well placed nest.
