im not trying to critisize but a good i dea is to attack a line of something to one cone and the other end to the other cone and they lead up to the jump. hell have no where to go but over if you dont let him refuse and run back. After a while hell get used to it and you can try it with a saddle.
I agree, try setting up a line of jumps in a row along the side to channel him towards the jump and then at the end of the jumps put a jump for him to jump to try and reduce the likliness for him to run out. E.g put a row of jumps parallel with the long edge of the school and at the end put a jump t 90 degrees to the long side. This will stop him from running out X

omg!!! my paint gelding doesnt pick up his feeet either!!!! i was training him but it was messing him all up so...
