This is the same tired message that has been told and retold for years now. Instead of printing another colorful brochure - you do a video. The gloom and doom predictions only cheapened your message. Dig deeper! What causes those actions? How can social pressures be applied to those individuals who conduct these activities? And don't tell me sending some 'scientist' into these countries to preach the gospel of the coral reef! Address the root of the real problems -not the reactions.
@protectoroftheocean It's like donating to the pink ribbon of breast cancer awareness, hoping to find a cure someday. Your money goes to making more pink ribbon ads instead of funding the actual research to cure breast cancer.
Heh. The only conclusion to be reached is pretty misanthropic: the exploitation of poor nations and economic stratification necessitate practices like this. The world is a terrible place. There is no way to put an end to bad aspects of the human condition because they are integral to it. Bleeding hearts should just hang themselves if they can't deal with it because it is never going to stop or get better; there is always going to be ugliness and injustice in the world.
Wow, powerful short film, great job with finding so many relevant shots. Keep up the good work, the reefs need all the help we can give them and video is a great tool to spread the message.
Great job Marc. Really impacting. :D
