  • Paxman...Prime Minister

  • Jeremy Paxman seems to be the only honest being within the ... well, entire British media industry. He's just so above show business that whenever he does it, he can't help but speak of how he felt about it (to whomever asks). THAT'S what it is with him! It's not that he's got something up his ass. He's weighty and intimidating because his soul still remains ... all the while, everyone else's is missing in the depths of hell, leaving behind the husks to work from muscle memory.

  • " Just carry on we need to change the tape " HAHHAAHAHA i've got to say that interview had me in stitches !

  • Fuck off Steve Coogan.

  • Comment removed

  • Paxman is in the wrong job. He should be a prosecution lawyer. The Spanish Inquisition.

  • @kealyc Nobody would be expecting that.

  • FUCK OFF FUCKING STUPID ADVERTS

  • Just an arse

  • Paxman rocks!

  • haha i never thought paxman was wrong to treat politicians the way he does but then after the points he made at 0:27 and 0:50 i began to see his point even tho he is showing remorse at the time lol

  • To me Jeremy Paxman is the greatest Englishman of our age.

  • execuse me im finnish but what are those red stickers on their jackets?

  • @hirvi93 They're poppies. In the UK we have poppy day every November to pay tribute to all our past and present servicemen & women. Do you have anything similar in Finland? :)

  • @Ellie8969 No we dont have. Thanks for the information!

  • I LOVE PAXMAN

  • Paxman is a good, honest man.

  • lol

JP is really among the most incisive, intelligent and thoughtful journalists out there

  • met the chap really nice and he wants the truth which we deserve as the british public

  • I always thought Jeremy Paxman was a pompous ass. Cant believe how wrong I was. Top bloke, very much misunderstood. And this interview needs to be shown in full. (take a hint BBC)

  • @JayRicci7891 Good words.

  • I would like to see Jeremy Paxman, Alan Rickman, David Dimbleby and Marco Pierre White run on to an American chat show and swan about ostentatiously without saying a word

  • I find Paxman quite sexy in his own little way. It's that mischievous look in his eyes.

  • Paxman and Coogan on the same show, pity I missed it.

  • Hmm, strange that my first thought when there was a bang and she fell to the ground was that the next line would be "but she was shot by a terrorist on her way to the polling station". I guess that's enough of an indictment of our current foreign policy..

  • I wonder if Parky threatened to overrule him!

  • I want to join a Jeremy Paxman fan club!!

  • i call him the paxinator, i dont watch newsnight unless he's on it. He's pro, he makes people look like noobs. He's smart and ruthless, a true guy. Paxinator, Prime MINISTer!.

  • @zixerqwert ha same here! I literally just turn over if he isn't presenting it

  • bollox

  • paxman rules

    i'd make him PM !!

  • Paxman is a cool guy.

  • Paxman is God

  • Paxaman, typical BBC New Lab stooge.

  • ehm, that's the great Steve Coogan himself. Alan Partridge....? no bells?

  • Paxman is the man. Parkinson is not - the sycophantic old gimp.

  • yeah for sure!

  • We do, because there are so many public figures that deserve a bit of patronizing.

  • While Mr.Griffin is being a diligent Zionist hireling who recycles aspersions on Muslims, I'm steering his attention to this:

LONDON (Reuters) - The country is in the grip of a sexual health crisis with cases of diseases like syphilis and gonorrhoea soaring, says a parliamentary committee.

There are now more HIV patients in Britain than ever before, the Health Select Committee said in a report on Wednesday, but it is much "older" sexually transmitted diseases that have exploded in recent years.

  • Reminds me so much of my politics lecturer, they look insanely alike - and share the same characteristics, where the same suites as well...spooky.

  • Where can I get a transcript for this?!

    Please! I'm desperate

  • It's your desperate just write down everything that they say!

  • why is there a fucking advertisement on this video??

  • yeah why is there advertising. maybe its youtube who are doing the bizzle.

  • why do hookers wear short shirts?

  • BBC worldwide and the British Broadcasting corp are separate entities. One is corporate, one is public service. They share content but one is able to generate revenue using advertising. Google it.

That is why there is a 'fucking advertisement on this video'

  • Thanks Google!! :(

  • Because YouTube in its old format was practically leaking money , now Google own it, they are having to make it (and the institutions involved) more profitable as TV advertising is in a very bad way.

  • Because it's BBC Worldwide - commercially funded and doesn't use any of the Licence Fee.

  • mind you, though i fully agree.... bbc worldwide is a private entity and allowed to advertise.

  • It's BBC Worldwide, distinct from the domestic entity since it operates exclusively abroad, which explains its presence on YouTube

  • He's about the only person in the BBC that has got any bollocks.

Good on you, and he shouldn't feel any remorse!

  • jeremy paxman: the dogs bollocks!

  • JP - smart fella !

  • fuckinell!

    Paxman wusses out! :P

  • what is the point of posting only 3 minutes of these interviews? people don't purchase these interviews in dvd form and americans like myself are unable to find them anywhere online as there is no bbc iplayer for the usa with parkinson.

    come on bbc ...

  • I agree, it's stupid.

  • its because you dont pay the TV license

  • i didn't mean to sound whining and entitled - i just wish they had parkinson on bbc america. we pay for that.

  • Its not like overseas people have that option. and I lived in the UK for 10 years and paid it then. Just sux there is no option to have it via satellite or something :(

  • This is the Catch 22 the BBC is in: the British public pay for content via the licence fee. The BBC are not a commercial broadcaster and therefore cannot sell it's content online via subscription, otherwise it's unfair on other commercial broadcasters, who don't get the licence fee money.

This means the BBC's has make sure most of its online content stays in UK for the people who paid for it.

For ex-pats like myself, it's incredibly annoying, I would pay, but they wont let me. So piracy wins!

  • Does anyone else see the similarity between Paxman and Simon Cowell?!

The way they talk, attitudes, once-in-a-blue-moon-smile/laugh -- twins!

    xD

  • good analysis lol

  • no, one is a non-entity...the other is a deeply intelligent man...paxman

  • Exactly - let's see Cowell be subjected to an interview by Paxo. 14-0 would be my bet

  • Oh hell yeah... Paxo would eat him alive.

  • he shouldn't be troubled. he and other journalists like him NEED to be the strong outside auditors that the public needs. would that we in the US would have someone like him to call politicians onto the carpet to find out what they really mean and what they have to say.

  • I reccommend Paxman's 2001 book, "The Political Animal", a most entertaining, enlightening and at times sympathetic look at the lives of politicians and why in nearly every case, a political life is destined to end in failure.

  • Nice to see the juxtaposition of the two greatest interviewers of all time, Jeremy Paxman and Alan Partridge.

  • brilliant

  • Aw, they both look so YOUNG!

  • I love the way he says "Quite Often" after drinking the glass of water!

  • Excellent comedy timing.

  • lol

  • Wow, a side to him I never saw: a funny, not entirely serious side.

  • I love the "PAXMAN" :) him and Jeremy Clarkson would make the Mitchell Brothers look like the Right Said Fred brothers lol

  • He's nowhere near hard enough. Stop being a wimp Paxman!

  • God Paxman looks exactly like Alan Partridge here!!

  • paxman smiling! crikey!

  • jeremy paxman takes no shit

  • Jeremy Paxman is king!

  • And just out of curiosity, who then, is a good example of professionalism journalism?

  • Robert Fisk, John Pilger, Amy Goodman....

  • Hmmm, I'll check 'em out

  • Amy Goodman? She's got more 'whine' than the Burgundy region. Ugh. Sorry.....

  • XFD

  • richard jackson, webster griffin tarpley, paul rogers, noam chomsky

  • He's Jeremy Paxman, bitch! Enjoy yourself!

  • To know more about Jeremy you should watch his episode of 'Who Do You Think You Are' - it's where he traces his family tree. You really get to see a human being with emotions and not the cold demeanor he presents on NewsNight.

  • I would love to see that spitting image sketch.

  • Jeremy Paxman, top bloke

  • I widh there was a Paxman in Spain, or in every country for that matter.

  • You are a star Sir..

    Keep it up ...

Expose these liars and Vermin for what they are!!!!!

    Bravo Jeremy...

  • Paxman's got NOTHING to be sorry for. If he won't ask these questions, who will? And if politicans were honest, they would simply answer the question!

  • ditto and kudos, sir.

  • @snoozeyoulose19 spot on!

  • @ThreeWordsFirstWord - Ha! Thanks! No one ever agrees with me on youtube!

  • Excellent!
