@munkruler Gravity is a scientific law, not theory. There is a big difference there. Theories can be disproved. Laws are incontrovertible. The theory of evolution can still be disproved. There is insufficient evidence to elevate it to the status of scientific law. No one saw it happen and it can't be tested enough to say it happened for sure. I believe in evolution but I would hardly call it a fact. I would reserve the word "fact" for things like scientific laws.

I responded by pointing out that evolution is a great theory but not even the scientific community has defined it as fact (or law).

@puretroubleman I don't deny evolution at all. In fact, I am a firm believer in it. I am merely stating the scientific fact that it can not be proven. It is a great theory but it is not a law. There is a lot of evidence for it but it is not incontrovertible. I enjoy the discussion because this is something that society does not like to admit, that there is a middle ground. I believe in God and evolution. God created through the process of Evolution - without any blind chance.
