Then I realized that's all he can get, and he's just trying to do his best with what's given to him. I should really be more upset at the industry for not giving him more chances. jenuwine, shame on u!!... read the world history. philippines was colonized by the spaniards & not by the mexicans for a hundred of years. it was the spanish govt. who changed the pinoy surname. yes, some filipinos do look like the mexicans because it is a mixed of the hispanic & malay race.. most pinoy came from the malay race like the indonesians.. also, filipino is a mixed race chinese, western & japs coz these people once colonized us except the chinese who were our traders.

we need more positive roles.
but of course roles like these are going to come along. The stereotypes and all that. The thing is it's not balanced out. I hope that soon that we can be shown in a diverse light not stuck just portraying the same "immigrant" and "foreign" roles.

Majority of Americans don't even know who Filipinos are as People. This arguement can be said for any ethnicity. Are we supposed to get every ethnicity to make a difference? Its not happening, so? I think its a lil' arrogant to make yourselves(the vid) feel like, "Oh we're the next biggest thing!" Not happening.

If an American has never met a Filipino person ever before, it is because he could careless for other races.. Seriously, Filipinos are present throughout the United States.. To say that "majority of american don't even know who Filipinos are as people," is just plain ignorant.. Speak for yourself..

This show is lame, it doesn't talk about filipino culture, seeing as all the audience are a bunch of asians who dress up like white people. Are we represented fairly??Maybe not, but fuck it, at least we're repping something.
