how come a 4.7l, twin supercharged engine can develop nearly the same power as a Bugatti Veyron, whereas the Veyron needs 8.0l, and four fucking turbochargers!? Sometimes I really don't understand cars, someone care to explain?

@benedyktmatraszek The Bugatti is much heavier and going back to the aerodynamic properties, the faster you go the more mother nature wants to slow you down. So in order to achieve such high speeds you do need a V16 and 4 turbos to do so.

A turbo is more practical, but if you building a dragster or somthing super charged is what you want

but your wrong with engine reliability. a supercharger is more reliable and can be tuned for economy if its a tiny one. and your wrong with turbos being more practical. for instance, the evo. if you dont have the turbos going because of lag, a van will outrun it. top gear tested it too. super charger is more reliable, more practical

@skybombLFA Still the Veyron is not that bad f.e if you take a look at the top gear lap times the standar Veyron is 16th and the SuperSport version is 7th. I know sometimes they take cars out of the ranking for whatever reason but still this reflects that its still relatively good on a track, exspecially if you take into consideration that it also weights more than most of the cars.

Unlike the Veyron, this car combines looks with speed. So it's not the absolute fastest car ever. I'd have this over the Veyron SS, Aventador, Gumpert, Zonda F Roadster, Ariel Atom V8, Enzo, Ultimate Aero, or One-77 any day.

The Lexus LFA is powered by a 72-degree bank angle 4.8-liter V10 engine equipped with dual VVT-i carrying the 1LR-GUE designation with a maximum output of 412 kW (560 PS) delivered at 8,700 rpm. And it reaches speed of 202 mph which competes with the Dodge Viper SRT10. The US could make car's like these but they concentrate more on muscle and torque thanspeed

@RYansAdams79 Oh excuse me I didn't have any clue that the Saleen S7 is an American car and America does have the fastest car the Ultimate Aero SSC (Shelby Super Cars) 254 mph I've heard it can reach 273 mph but for some reason they won't try it something doesn't sound right you say your car can go 273 mph but you don't want to show us hmmm fishy. And SSC also made the Tuatara SSC which in fact goes 275 mph but I heard it's a prototype. Bugatti and Koenigsegg will bring out something faster.

@RYansAdams79 Actually its a Koenigsegg that can go 273. The problem with the SSC Aero was that, sometimes when trying to reach top speed it would go up in flames. The Agera R has made new records from 0 to 100, and 0 to 200, and 0 to 200 to 0. It reach 200 miles an hour in 17 seconds. Koenigesegg cant test this car for top speed because they dont know where to do it.
