I can remember a time when to be a musician you had to practice guitar 12 hours a day until your fingers bled. Then you had to find 3 or 4 other equally dedicated and talented musicians to invest years into the project. Now you just get up on stage with headphones, play other people's stuff and twist a high pass filter knob.
He makes it look too fucking easy. Hate this guy, only because I know i could practice nonstop for a lifetime and still be nowhere near as good. Easy one of the best there's ever been. I think he just replaced Van Halen as my guitar idol. Maybe.
You can tell Reb is one cool motherfucker.........he fingertaps like Eddie Van Halen........writes songs about fucking 17 yr. old chicks........and he's from the Steel City !!
Saw the same concert in PHILLY.......But I won a contest from 933 WMMR and got to go to a party before the show with Cinderella....still got the pics and pass. Miss those days
I dont know if they played the Syria Mosque, but I seen them May 13th1989 at the AJ Palumbo Center, they opened for Cinderella along with the Bullet Boys.... I still have my ticket stub. I doubt if they played both venues the same year???
How do people not like guitar solos, they can be the part of a song that completely pushes the song to the next level. They are so important to music creativity and in my opinion todays music lacks so much creativity and musicianship its almost not worth listening to any new music. I will listen to 70's and 80's rock till i die, there is no comparison to those decades. i'm 19 if anyone else is around my age and likes those decades for rock message me or add me as a friend.
I found a swedish band that is new but they look like an 80's hair band and they make good music. The band is called Crashdiet look them up they are great
rock4life- im 16 and i have been playin bass guitar for 4 years and i totally agree with you all the new age rock is bad but you have to search around for it if you are into punk music try the subways they are a new upcoming band and btw hair metal 4 life
That is awesome that you are so young and know what truly great music is! I was in my teens when this song came out, and it is still is one of the best songs ever.
Hats off to you for recognizing and appreciating true talent!!!!
@RoCk4LiFe90 Dude, I totally agree... the guitarists to today who don't like solos are the lazy slackers who won't put in the time it takes to master their craft... guys like Reb Beach, Steve Vai, Nuno Bettencourt, Paul Gilbert, Yngwie Malmsteen, and Vinnine Vincent put in countless hours getting to know their instruments and the musical theory that enabled them to get the most out of their instruments... I miss the skill these guys had....
They actually opened for Bad Company (Brian Howe as replacement singer). Another poster said Deep Purple was the main act but but we interviewed both bands and shot one song from each band that night so I know for sure Bad company was the headliner.

Why won't that fucking cocksucker guitar player just START THE GOD DAMN SONG. We don't need you spending 5 minutes demonstrating how hard you practice guitar every day. The solo from spinal tap is better. Loser.
Dig the Band, Love Kip, Love Rod the Drummer, and I know it was the 80's, but could have done without the self-indulgent guitar noodling and hammer-on's for first 3 minutes, after Kip introduced "seventeen". he should have just said, Reb will now play a Boring guitar solo, and shake his Poodle Do hair mane for you, while striking all 19 poses from the 80's Rock god guitar Op's Manual.! Lol other than that, dig this tune. p.s. sound on this Sucks. try searching other versions. there's better.

I was at this show. These shitheads opened for Deep Purple. They didn't even deserve that slot. The Syria Mosque was the best concert venue in Pittsburgh & this was the last concert before it was torn down.
@UberKrispy ..no...all hair metal bands would like to send a T-1000 back in time to terminate all the grunge moms (Cobain, Vedder, Cornell) so hair metal could RULE FOREVER! (oh..and not be killed by '92)...
Kip sings always very good live, sometimes better than in the studio. But in some other Winger live clips on youtube he takes him a little bit to serious. But here he is very cool.
Well I actually have more Kramers than Jacksons so I don't hate but.... "Were the shit..." - yeah, except for not being able to run a business and advertising their company into bankruptcy. "Still are..." Ehh not so much, cuz you're not talking about Kramer now, you're talking about Gibson.
ur right about the gibson, i just have a few kramers now so i still think they are awsome. all those guitar companies were big then, jackson, charvelle, ibanez, kramer
i saw armoured saint-whitesnake-quiet riot in 84 at the mosque.this dude that sat next to me was pissed because armoured saint did'nt show up!he bitched the whole night!me and my brother got guitar picks from carlos cavazo's guitar tech.i also went to a stoogefest there once, seeing all these drunk-stoned people doing the curly shuffle!
