  • Great musicians no doubt....but I still hate the head-mic. lol

  • I can remember a time when to be a musician you had to practice guitar 12 hours a day until your fingers bled. Then you had to find 3 or 4 other equally dedicated and talented musicians to invest years into the project. Now you just get up on stage with headphones, play other people's stuff and twist a high pass filter knob.

  • He makes it look too fucking easy. Hate this guy, only because I know i could practice nonstop for a lifetime and still be nowhere near as good. Easy one of the best there's ever been. I think he just replaced Van Halen as my guitar idol. Maybe.

  • Oh what I would give...

  • Great video ... awesome band .. thanks for posting!

PS Bring the 80s BACKKKKKKKKKK! lol

  • i love rock music of the 80's it still rocks today

  • Really good video quality for 1989.

  • @mystereojones Thanks. Shot on a (heavy) professional-grade Sony CCD chip camera from way back in the last row of the theatre (thus the shake).

  • @mystereojones Yes, I'm totallly agree with you, man.

  • Awesome band, and Reb make me wanna cry with that solo!! :)

  • Winger sucks, Lazarus AD an Havok beat the shit out of winger, winger blows

  • Garth called and wants his mic back

  • OH MY GOD!!! I love this video!! Reminds me of the time I saw Winger in concert in Little Rock!! Best concert ever!!!

  • Amazing band!!!!!

  • 2:40, signature Reb Beach lick

  • dude's a good guitarist...

  • Man, Eddy really was a HUGE infuence on metal guitar!

  • YEAHHHHHHHHHHHH

  • These guys kicked such Major ASS back in the day.....wicked guitarist~~

  • I like Reb Beach's black KRAMER guitar....looks similar to mine.

  • Comment removed

  • @skangmox ....yeah, because rob beach sucks. im sure hes not a talented musician. youre an idiot.

  • the drummer is Rod Morganstien...better do a little look at him before you make stupid comments.

  • You can tell Reb is one cool motherfucker.........he fingertaps like Eddie Van Halen........writes songs about fucking 17 yr. old chicks........and he's from the Steel City !!

  • errrr.. yeah man... thats really really coool....

  • I like Reb's 80's hair better than his 00 hair. He kinda looks like Cousin It these days.

  • SEVERELY underrated guitar. Reb is one of the best from the 80's if not the best.

  • Reb is a wicked guitarist...... nuff said...

  • AshleyWilliams19 Fuck Ashley, youre sexier than hell

  • Saw the same concert in PHILLY.......But I won a contest from 933 WMMR and got to go to a party before the show with Cinderella....still got the pics and pass. Miss those days

  • I dont know if they played the Syria Mosque, but I seen them May 13th1989 at the AJ Palumbo Center, they opened for Cinderella along with the Bullet Boys.... I still have my ticket stub. I doubt if they played both venues the same year???

  • You never know...Reb is from here.

  • KIP IS GREAT.GLAM IS GREAT

  • he took taping to the next lvl then people just stoped

  • How do people not like guitar solos, they can be the part of a song that completely pushes the song to the next level. They are so important to music creativity and in my opinion todays music lacks so much creativity and musicianship its almost not worth listening to any new music. I will listen to 70's and 80's rock till i die, there is no comparison to those decades. i'm 19 if anyone else is around my age and likes those decades for rock message me or add me as a friend.

  • Got the Same Problem, i'm 21. Todays Music except a few Albums, sound very boring.

I Totally like the whole 80s stuff :-)

  • I found a swedish band that is new but they look like an 80's hair band and they make good music. The band is called Crashdiet look them up they are great

  • rock4life- im 16 and i have been playin bass guitar for 4 years and i totally agree with you all the new age rock is bad but you have to search around for it if you are into punk music try the subways they are a new upcoming band and btw hair metal 4 life

  • fuck yea man. I have always loved classic rock way more.

  • amen dude

  • @RoCk4LiFe90

That is awesome that you are so young and know what truly great music is! I was in my teens when this song came out, and it is still is one of the best songs ever.

Hats off to you for recognizing and appreciating true talent!!!!

  • @RoCk4LiFe90 Hey man, I listen to new music, but I grew up on AC/DC and Van Halen. So I know where you stand.

  • @RoCk4LiFe90 Dude, I totally agree... the guitarists to today who don't like solos are the lazy slackers who won't put in the time it takes to master their craft... guys like Reb Beach, Steve Vai, Nuno Bettencourt, Paul Gilbert, Yngwie Malmsteen, and Vinnine Vincent put in countless hours getting to know their instruments and the musical theory that enabled them to get the most out of their instruments... I miss the skill these guys had....

  • @RoCk4LiFe90 Anybody that doesn't appreciate a guitar solo needs to have their heads examined.

  • Was this a solo show or when they opened for Deep Purple?

In any case, I was there. They also played a killer show over at the IC Light tent with Kix and Badlands. That one kicked!

  • Comment removed

  • They actually opened for Bad Company (Brian Howe as replacement singer). Another poster said Deep Purple was the main act but but we interviewed both bands and shot one song from each band that night so I know for sure Bad company was the headliner.

  • I could listen to Reb Beach anytime. Take a look at his solo stuff on myspace.

  • OK, you didn't like the Eddie Van Halen solo in 'Beat It". Can't some solo's be good and fit in with the song?

  • "What? You don't like the masturbatory 5 minute fingertapping solo?? "

    By Eddie.

Eddie, Alex, Wolfgang, Kip-------> Van Halen

  • some van halen stuff yeaahhh you can hear the strong influence

  • even if you don't like the lyrics or image - the music kicks butt.

  • A song about stachatory rape.

  • This is Joey Buttafuoco's theme song.

  • Dig the Band, Love Kip, Love Rod the Drummer, and I know it was the 80's, but could have done without the self-indulgent guitar noodling and hammer-on's for first 3 minutes, after Kip introduced "seventeen". he should have just said, Reb will now play a Boring guitar solo, and shake his Poodle Do hair mane for you, while striking all 19 poses from the 80's Rock god guitar Op's Manual.! Lol other than that, dig this tune. p.s. sound on this Sucks. try searching other versions. there's better.

  • @drumdude46 ..most annoying was the cliche "train slowing down" "DA DOO DUNT DA DA DOO DUNT DUH" riff...but still, Reb kicks ass..

  • Agreed Jolby32!!!

  • Reb is so underrated

  • What? You don't like the masturbatory 5 minute fingertapping solo??

  • Say what you want... Reb Beach could play the guitar. OMG! He has always been one of my favorite guitarists.

  • I bet Kip would like to build a cyborg, human tissue over a mechanized chassis, and send it back in time to kill Mike Judge's mom.

  • @UberKrispy ..no...all hair metal bands would like to send a T-1000 back in time to terminate all the grunge moms (Cobain, Vedder, Cornell) so hair metal could RULE FOREVER! (oh..and not be killed by '92)...

  • can you post the the music video of seventeen?

  • I used to be up here several time, but now it gone.

  • nice reb has a kramer!

  • hahaha, the drum tech running into the shot at about the 5:30 minute mark. Can anyone say, 'This is Spinal Tap?'

  • Kip sings always very good live, sometimes better than in the studio. But in some other Winger live clips on youtube he takes him a little bit to serious. But here he is very cool.

  • reb beach is good but he abuses of tapping a lot!

    great song!

  • man these guys rocked they still rock ...lol metalica compared to winger player to player talent wise metalica sucks lol very sad for them...........

  • ...when Jacksons ruled the world.

  • hahaha psych, kramers were the shit and still are!!! reb rocks the kramers!!!

  • Well I actually have more Kramers than Jacksons so I don't hate but.... "Were the shit..." - yeah, except for not being able to run a business and advertising their company into bankruptcy. "Still are..." Ehh not so much, cuz you're not talking about Kramer now, you're talking about Gibson.

  • But I should add - the current Strikers are under $300 and play as good my $1300 1984 reissue. I actually play that guitar MORE.

  • Baretta is awesome ! White.

  • ur right about the gibson, i just have a few kramers now so i still think they are awsome. all those guitar companies were big then, jackson, charvelle, ibanez, kramer

  • how come no comments from the ladies how sexy kip is

  • maybe because of his huge horse teeth

  • I think you're jealous of his perfect teeth.

  • i think you're jealous of my awesome youtube comments!

  • hahahahah if this band OPENED for a concert I went to I would probably shit my pants

  • i saw winger back in 89'! Johnstown Pa .....i was only 9yrs old they opened for Bon jovi it was awesome!!!!!!

  • Artists had talent back then.

  • Pete you have more of this?

  • Unfortunately not. This is it for Winger

  • This is fantastic!!

  • i saw armoured saint-whitesnake-quiet riot in 84 at the mosque.this dude that sat next to me was pissed because armoured saint did'nt show up!he bitched the whole night!me and my brother got guitar picks from carlos cavazo's guitar tech.i also went to a stoogefest there once, seeing all these drunk-stoned people doing the curly shuffle!

  • This was actually from 1988 Winger was opening for Bad Company. The second time they played Syria Mosque was in 1991 with Deep Purple.

  • Did they open for the SCORPIONS in this tour?

  • This show they opened for Bad Company.

  • wow they don't make guitar tone like this anymore.

  • Reb's a bad mutherfücker

  • daddy says shes too young, but shes old enough 4 me!!

  • Where is the rest of the show?? I have some other Winger concerts to possibly trade?

    Thanks

    Zander

  • The promoter of the show would only allow us to record one song before they shut us off. It was recorded with the full knowledge and approval of the band for a documentary. Thanks

  • Dio/Humble Pie in 1983, Malmsteen Rising Force/Talas in the basement in 1985, Alice Cooper/Megadeth in 87, Emerson, Lake and Powell, and saw Sabbath/WASP in 86 I think. Was always in the front 5 rows(working for National Record Mart got me great tix!) it was a cool small venue to see shows at.Molly Hatchet / Blackfoot there too. My biggest disappointment was I had front row tix for Motorhead/Mercyful Fate/Exciter in 1984 and the damn show got cancelled. LONG LIVE THE MOSQUE!

  • Winger! Yeah... bring back the the 80's hair bands! I remember going to see a bunch of those crazy bands with my Rockin' cousin Pete, we had a blast, and almost got thrown out of the shows afew times! [wink] Look at him now.... Heck, In a crazy way,I feel had a hand in some how making him the success he is in the industry today! Great footage! Now where's that can of Aqua-Net I misplaced over 20 years ago!

  • nice pants kip,, ha ha.. i miss the 80,s
