Hey, I have a question. How do you play in drop A so well with a six-string and it not sound muddy? Every time I do, it sounds like my amp is trying to throw up a lung or something. :x Amazing cover, one of my favorites from Sybreed. :] Keep up the good work, and if you get in a band, I expect videos of rough draft songs. :D

You need to get strings that are in a heavier gauge in order for it to sound less muddy.

Get a .12 gauge for Bb/A# tuning.

I've been wanting a Line Spider 6 or a Marshall amp for a while, but I may consider ENGL as well if I can get this question answered: Do ENGL amps do well with Jazz, Blues, Black/Thrash/Death/Progressive metal, and hard/progressive rock? That's what I play mainly.

@guy12343456 In my honest opinion, ENGL blows both of those out of the water for all of the above styles.  ENGL makes some of the most versatile and best sounding amps, especially for lead and gain settings. But I also hear great things about their sparkly cleans. You should definitely check them out a bit more.

I definately will, if it's that great. I'm sure guitar center sells those at their store, so I'll be sure to give the ENGL a spin, and play something jazzy on the 'sparkly' cleans. :P

Can you change strings on your own? If so, go buy those .12 guage strings and replace them with your old ones as they do better with Drop A / A standard tuning.

Any music store should carry those string guages.
