Well, it's basically an old language of culture. Not exactly the most musical language but quite expressive if the word are being chosen carefully - which is definitely the case here. It is not a literal translation but the words make quite some sense which you can't say about all German covers :)

Es kamen schon Kommentare, wo es hieß, die? deutschsprachige Musik sei total unmusikalisch! Da kann man mal sehen, dass solche Leute keine Ahnung von Musik haben! Ich finde das deutsche Bands die Englische Texte schreiben und singen total unmusikalisch sind! Englisch singen kann jeder!!!! ;)

Ich finde die englische Version besser. Entschuldigung aber irgendwie verliert das Lied für mich auf deutsch seinen Reiz.

Mir ist es eigentlich egal auf welcher Sprache gesungen wird und ob das was mit unmusikalisch zu tun hat, naja, lassen wir mal dahingestellt sein.

Ahnung von Musik finde ich auch voll der Quatsch, geht doch darum ob es einem gefällt, das hat mit Wissen/Ahnung nichts zu tun.

The problem is that 'moonlight shadow' doesnt translate easily into a lyric in German.

'Nacht voll schatten' is not as good. Also the lyrics are spoiled in various places to fit the rythm of the song. This isnt MO playing - its a cover version is all.

Ich bin eine Tschechin, und Deutsch klingt mir gar nicht hart. In meiner Meinung ist es sehr soft, aber manchmal irgendwie monoton; aber Lieder, die einen schoenen Rytmus haben, klingen gut in Deutsch, z.B. dieses Lied oder Rammstein..

Not correct. Much more like West Jutish

(rural dialect of Danish) for historic reasons - lots of Danish settling in North Eastern England during the Viking age. So much so that the West Germanic Anglo Saxon (Old English) and the North Germanic Norse (Old Danish) merged into a new type of much simplied, "Nordified" E., since they were already rather similar in advance.
