People who include rebuilt engines should just shut up...they dont count.
And no, Hondas do not only require regular oil changes. You need to change that, plus flush the ABS, tranny oil, filters, belts, etc. If all you are doing is changing the oil and filter then you are gonna fail.
Honda Motor America should have given Million-Mile Joe a Black 2012 Honda Accord EX-L V6 with NAV along with fully loaded accessories on it for marketing purposes. Honda shouldn't have made that parade as dramatic and instead should have spent less on parade and more on handing the guy a fully equiped car.
I'm not sure any car couldn't last 1 million miles if the owner is a skilled mechanic who constantly works on his vehicle any time it needs repair. What car can't have an infinite number of parts replaced to keep it running? You could have driven a Plymouth Valiant a million with the right maintenance. Why the big pizzazz over this so-called feat?
If American made cars like Honda, they wouldn't need a bail out. American auto worker are to busy thinking about drinking smoking weed and watching Tv after work. While the Japanese think drink and sleep about making cars, we will never catch up to them. That's why I drive a Acura TL with 131,000 miles with no problem.
@patrick12657nck 131,000 is nothing most cars will make it to that mileage, if it doesn't then you're not maintaining it properly. My dad's Suburban has 311000 km (193000 miles) and it still runs like new.
Honda refused to honor the warranty on a 7 week old Scooter. It had only 770miles on it. 770 MILES and then it FAILED. Take this Honda (made in China) scooter back! My Honda Elite 110 bought brand new stopped working and Honda motorcycle Div. 1-866-784-1870 refused to repair the scooter. Buyer Beware! See my YouTube Videos!
@russty36 yea you shouldn't get the newer generation honda bikes. get stuff from the 80s or 90s, the new ones, as you said, are Chinese, while the old ones ran forever.
had a 96 acura with 500k, put 300k on a 99 accord, my mother in law put 350k on her 92 accord another buddy put 500k on a crv ... it is possible if the rust does not kill them ... all of these rusted out with good motors & driveline
@asia911 Yeah, just unscrew the plastic lens covering the instrument cluster and roll it back by hand. Digital odometers require a computer system, but it can be done.
@djdrxx., first, this is youtube, a worldwide service. Second, in America we use metric system, just read your everyday nutrition facts mg (milligrams) and the army system of measurament is metric.
Smell fishy. Sharon needs to speak out. She knows best. Joe's boss, an insurance company? needs to tell us why a claim adjuster has assignment which requires to drive avg 173 miles a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, for 15 years. Or such assignment are fake?
a lot of people, (occasionally, me included) criticize the honda accord for being too dull, but you cant run away from the fact that as a machine, its just astonishing...the only thing that you need to change on a honda is the tyres...the engine will always be tip top..
@drsmartguy1987 hmm.. you're right.. he said it had 74K miles on it when he bought in 96. So that's 926,000 miles over 15 years(+/-) .. avg about 173 miles per day.. that does seem a bit OTT.
These Accords are bulletproof automobiles. If you ever need cheap transportation, find one of these cars. I have a 92 with 195,000 miles on it and it still drives like a charm. It NEVER fails. I honestly think it will last forever. It's like money in the bank.
People dont get it! it dosent matter if a ford last to 500,000 miles. The thing is a honda will last that long with minimal maintained on it. Who knows all the stuff that was done on a ford for it to last even to 150,000 miles. I have a 94 Accord with 262,000 on it. Its my 3 honda and it still runs strong with no problems. With all do respect, making generalizations such as the ones above, regarding import vs domestic cars makes you people look utterly stupid and uneducated about cars in general. If you look to the right of this video in the "suggestions" section, there is a video called "MILLION MILE FORD"! I work at a dealer and i have seen numerous E and F series vehicles with over 500,000 miles on them..stupid stupid stupid...
Howcome the old ford sixes go for millions of miles? Fuck off with your bullshit ass import cars, what are you goddamn koreans or something? Probably some young ricer american kids i assume. Any car will last forever if you take care of it.
im a honda fan don't get me wrong, i just recently got rid of my 93 accord which is the same generation as joe's but i do know of a couple fords and a chevrolet that have both passed the million mile marker so its just a honda or japanese thing by any means.
Anyone can talk about having 300K miles on this or that car, but take a look in an early 90's Honda next time you see one in the grocery parking lot, they have analog odometers in those years, almost without fail it will have 200K or more miles. You simply can not say that about other cars. Other cars get junked because they become too costly to continue to drive for people who are in the market for older vehicles, that is to say, poor people.
As good as Hyundai and Ford Automobiles right now are claiming to be, only Honda can say they have been making reliable cars for years and in my opinion, no ford or hyundai can ever measure up remotely close to what Honda has accomplished...GO HONDA!
Had several Hondas in my life, and 2 right now. No problem getting 300K miles and selling the car. Superb quality, better than Toyota or those European cars (last time I owned a European car - BMW - was in 1995). Once Honda - always Honda. Forget the rest...
F22 series honda engines are so reliable. My '92 accord has 180k miles on it and it runs excellent with no major problems to it. My mom bought it back in 1991 and I've been riding it since before I was born. I'm 20 years old now and this is currently my daily driver. I love it.
Honda has the most advanced humanoid robot ASIMO, Honda learned the lessons of how to manipulate machines to deal with the laws of physics in the best way possible. They can apply those physics lessons in designing the chassis of their cars. Thats why Hondas have good handling is because the engineers at Honda are some of the smartest people in the world.
i've got nothing against american cars my own father owns a 2002 F-150 and it has little over 150,000 miles but some of you guys are missing the point greatly all those american cars mentioned have big ass motors!! this little honda comes with a tiny engine, a 4 cylinder engine. even though Joe has taken care of it alot i don't think these engines were designed for such mileage. HONDA = reliability take care of it and your honda car will sure take care of you , keep it up Joe
My 1990 Honda Accord has had some issues at 200k miles, it recently had problems with overheating to where you would push on the gas pedal and it would just not respond and get up to 10 mph. It feels as if the wheels are just locking up (front right passenger wheel) and just not wanting to spin. When it first beings to over heat, you feel a lot of bumping and the brakes begin to lock up. Any idea what could be wrong? Thanks!
If you want the best deals on Honda cars or any off brands you can always visit our channel. We show you the latest pre-owned vehicles from our website.
watch that and shut the fuck up u fucking idiots there's a ford doing 1m miles. suck a dick faggots honda is a piece of shit plastic car. i'd love to see ford/buick go nose to nose with a plastic honda. honda is for people who just want to get from point a to point b and have no taste in cars. it's all about the american muscle.
@mesarabkass poor ignorant person. i love american cars as much as anyone else, but honda makes some amazing cars. american muscle doesnt offer much taste. they are like harleys. they all look the same and are driven by racist rednecks who cant admit they have small dicks
Go Joe !!! I am a big Honda fan also my Accord only has 246,000 on it and it runs just like it did when I bought it in 2002. Honda automobiles are the best bar none. The Indy races prove this. Almost every manufacturer has had an engine in these races.Honda is the only one now because all the others could not hold up or win as many races as Honda. If you don't believe it just research it. Honda is number one.
I worked in a shop once and seen a chevy venture about a 1990? music tour van with a million miles on it but when the guys father passed away that owned the van, he stopped taking as good of care of it.
Wow, that is amazing .. HONDA should pay this guy a Million bucks.. If you are willing to do regular maintenance, repairs and rebuild the engine once every couple hundred miles, i think you can do this to pretty much any car.. and because this is a Honda he probably didn't have to work as hard as some other brands... But for the sake of a better breathing environment regular people (non mechanics) should not keep a car over 200K miles.
My old civic with a pony motor (d12 = 1200cc) hit 505.000 Km overpowered to almost 100hp from the 72 OEM before i fall in love with a tree ....xi xi .....incredible machine...never left me nowhere...... I now own a Hybrid Civic 2007 mod( 67.000 km), and a 4th hand !! 90 mod civic....(D16a6 290.000 km) the love for the 4th generation civics will never pass....
odometer says 367k and everything is perfect, as i have made it that way by keeping up my Coupe, i love my Honda , and true to that, the new cars, dealers just don't get it , it's not about the age, it's about the car, the story of a 15 year car is much more worthy then a new one
Dude, with THAT many miles on it, he has to be taking good care of it. If he keeps it up, that car will run forever. I have no doubts he'll make a million miles!!!
Well-kept for such high mileage.

As good as Hyundai and Ford Automobiles right now are claiming to be, only Honda can say they have been making reliable cars for years and in my opinion, no ford or hyundai can ever measure up remotely close to what Honda has accomplished...GO HONDA!

Oh, my dad back in Europe where I was born had a million kilometer Peugeot. Now - that's a surprise! Nothing strange for Honda though...
aureliani66 7 months ago
Had several Hondas in my life, and 2 right now. No problem getting 300K miles and selling the car. Superb quality, better than Toyota or those European cars (last time I owned a European car - BMW - was in 1995). Once Honda - always Honda. Forget the rest...

I am too Honkey to drive a Honda, and I don't smoke the greens. Anyone who jerks the wheel a lot in a (lowered or not) Honda is the opposite of me.

Of course, considering the accuracy of a Honda odometer, that's mileage might be rolling a million about 20,000 miles too early.

Thanks!

watch that and shut the fuck up u fucking idiots there's a ford doing 1m miles. suck a dick faggots honda is a piece of shit plastic car. i'd love to see ford/buick go nose to nose with a plastic honda. honda is for people who just want to get from point a to point b and have no taste in cars. it's all about the american muscle.
mesarabkass 8 months ago

The 1990-1993 Honda Accord was in my opinion the best looking Accord and my favorite overall.
patwickgriff 8 months ago
Wow, that is amazing .. HONDA should pay this guy a Million bucks.. If you are willing to do regular maintenance, repairs and rebuild the engine once every couple hundred miles, i think you can do this to pretty much any car.. and because this is a Honda he probably didn't have to work as hard as some other brands... But for the sake of a better breathing environment regular people (non mechanics) should not keep a car over 200K miles.

odometer says 367k and everything is perfect, as i have made it that way by keeping up my Coupe, i love my Honda , and true to that, the new cars, dealers just don't get it , it's not about the age, it's about the car, the story of a 15 year car is much more worthy then a new one
