it's best to let it warm up until it's at normal idle, it'll idle high until the engine has warmed up a bit and then it'll idle down at it's normal speed, like 700rpm or whatever and by then your temp gauge will have moved some too, the oil temp will be higher and has had time to circulate throughout the engine, coolant too
i can't stand it when i see people start up a cold car and instantly throw it in gear and drive off, no wonder there are so many pos's, no one knows how to treat a car
you need an electric fan your fan cluth drowns out the exhaust note just like on mine

I just had one shipped to me and I wasn't aware it's suppose to sound loud.

Dont rev it when its warming up! let the runner warm up for about 2 minutes!
