Naturephoenix- your retarded. They don't do a burnout to get the coating off the tire, nor does it make the tire have a bigger contact patch. When rubber is heated up it makes it softer/stickier to get traction.

@on3m4n55 So that it heats up the tires and in some cases, get the "coating" that are on the new tires off since they tend to slip more. Plus when tires are heated, or so shall I say when rubber is heated, it expands and therefore has a bigger surface area and therefore more traction.
