This chair is not for people's amusment. The five point restraint chair is dangerous and responsible for numberous deaths, perminent nerve damage, heart attack, asphyxiation, terror attacks, muscle damage, psychological damage, and strokes.
Lucky you got freed really fast! I got strapped up real tight with belts by my cousins(all boys one girl) and they stuffed a handkerchief in my mouth! Left me there for like 2hours 45 mins. It was so uncomfortable and I couldnt get out. I tried very hard !
I'm an officer & APPALLED at the misuse of a tool that can save lives/health of inmates &officers. W/the net,u see cases that officers look bad & uncaring.U don't see the raging violent person bashing their head in..blood/urine/feces spread/THROWN all over.The chair is a safe viable option.If they need psyc. help;Drs./court orders/judges/transports have to happen, a timely endeavor.Some are high & later feel bad for their behavior. As the saying goes"damned if you do, and damned if you don't"!
@Nay0811 The FACT is the chair is dangerous and causes injury where otherwise there would be none, is used as a punishment tool 90% of the time, and has no therapeutic value. The chair is not safe. The claim it is used only to "save lives" is ridiculous and untrue, almost all documented uses of the chair fall under the category of illegal restraint and as far as I am concerned the staff should be prosecuted for assault with a deadly device.
