@ZeStealthyPwn If I get asthma walking from room to room then there's no point in touching it. Besides, I trip out without the use of anything which goes to show how messed up I really am!
OH THE SONGS HE DID AND THEIR TITLES .... and 2 think people thought he did regular jazz lol lol .... he has always seem to be so cool n so fly i would love to have seen him in the past
i was the band in a play recently, and we got to do this song.i had so much fun with it!i was No Moe(one of the guys talking in the begining).i dont think ill ever be able to forget that intro :)
Funny that this was a seller in the '30's, but remember that the drug laws weren't uniform and consistent until at least 1937, believe it or not these kinds of drugs, while definitely frowned upon, were legal enough that a tune like "Minnie The Moocher" could go #1 in Billboard in 1932!
for some reason this song brings back fallout 3 memories, this should have made the soundtrack.. well let`s hope to hear it on future games in the fallout series
i think its realy crazy to think that this came out and was popular not 3 or 4 years later...i wonder if a majority of the audience probably didnt know what he was talking about... its so obvious in modern days :)
had the chance to meet cab calloway one night in a resteraunt in white plains ny as he was leaving out of a resteraunt ..my father recognized him and i went up to him this little 17 year old kid and got an autograph from him ...he was a great performer and singer..
I'm talking about "I Don't Want To Set The World On Fire" by the Ink Spots, which is from 1941, not 1929. Know what you're talking about before you accuse others of being a dumbass.
One of my favorite tunes by Cab! It went to number 11 on the charts, very big for a drug song! Really awesome Bass on this song too! Al Morgan really knew how to slap!
Great transfer!!. In the Day, The Cabster was a lady killer!! This is a Brunswick Record from 1932, not as free sounding as the Short subject in the movie !nternational House. Really good fidelity for that label. Great Pix!! The movie "International House" that starred W.C. Fields, was directed by the actress Louise Brook's husband Eddie Sutherland. Check out Louise on Youtube. You talk about fine in her day. Yow man!
The funny thing about me is that I would never so much as touch pot, but damn do I LOVE songs about it!

@MrBoozeitup hahaha...Truth. I thought the same thing every time I came by this page.
Also, I found it hilarious that someone with 1992 at the end of their name insultingly referred to the other guy as "kid."

@Verbeke1992 More like the '30s. The sound quality is much too aged for the '40s.
