@soccerguy325 The department of Education has done nothing but slowly erode our school system ever since congress passed 96-88 in 79. Worst cases in 2000 and again in 2001 with the No child left behind act. Before all that Education was handled at the state level. Paul wants to put education back in the hands of the states and remove the federal controls that have hindered education since the early 80's. I personally favor getting rid of this agency. I have 4 kids 8 Months to 13 years.

Its federal regulation of schools based on annual testing scores. Now schools teach only what is needed to pass these tests. Very little creativity is taught like before. Kids that are a little behind they shove into life skills classes. Because they know these kids cant pass the test for their age group. This is a complete failure on our kids because of this.

They are ruining our kids future just to get funding instead of teaching them properly

@soccerguy325 The department of Education has done nothing but slowly erode our school system ever since congress passed 96-88 in 79. Worst cases in 2000 and again in 2001 with the No child left behind act. Before all that Education was handled at the state level. Paul wants to put education back in the hands of the states and remove the federal controls that have hindered education since the early 80's. I personally favor getting rid of this agency. I have 4 kids 8 Months to 13 years.

Its federal regulation of schools based on annual testing scores. Now schools teach only what is needed to pass these tests. Very little creativity is taught like before. Kids that are a little behind they shove into life skills classes. Because they know these kids cant pass the test for their age group. This is a complete failure on our kids because of this.

I refused and forced them to put her in regular school classes. Today she is 6 and doing great. These programs are put on our kids because of federal interference and regulation. There never will be "an average guy" runniing for president. I am NOT a fan of President Obama BUT really do we have a choice? We can not go back in time and elect Mitt Romney, lets hope in a second term Mr Obama will move to the left, it IS possible and we must remember the presidental election is more 'big picture" than grassroots. Elect progressives on the local level but lets re-elect the president and hope he will move in the dfirection we need.

For the 99% he would be terrible. he is against national health care, he supports a survival of the fittest economy.
