QUIT HATING ON MIKE. His nasaly voice and chipmunk sound is what makes the beach boys great! along with great songwriting by brian wilson, great ballad singing by carl wilson, and great rythm guitaring of al Jardine, and the care free drumming of Dennis wilson. And of course the most kind hearted member, Bruce Johnstone
A friend told me that it was just ungodly hot that day, & seeing Carl in his sport jacket, so totally professional reminded just why they so badly needed Carl. Not the BB's without him. Carl, we miss you. Wolfsky9
This was a pinnocle performance here in my opinion. All the guys together(minus Denny), rocking out, working the crowd and they loved it!! They had 100 thousand people in the palm of their hands. It was sweltering hot and there is Carl, looking so business like...in a suit. God love him. Jeff there helping out in the falsetto department. And God love Brian...doing his best..singing,keyboards, and making a show. I remember this on TV. Loved it all!!! RIP Carl.
@jorgerealmadrid24 Nobody can go on the road forever people get divorced people die thats bill grahme at 3:05 he was makeing 80 million a year till he died in a helicopter crash
@jorgerealmadrid24 nobody can go on the road forever people go to school get divorced die bill grahme is at 3:05 at the end he was makeing 80 million a year untill he died in a heliocopter crash
this '85 effort terrific in the sweltering heat ... Carl is there and great as ever..Mike very strong here,,,Brian contributing too.,.Jardine & Johnston right on the' high voice' money...Dennis was gone by then, but band on top of their game in front of Philly Live Aid throng....this was huge for the band and like always they had the masses gyrating/singing along.
..,,amazing to see legendary promoter Bill Graham on the end here..U.S. music history for full 3:12 here my friends!!!
I remember trying to catch their performance when Live Aid was shown. I stayed up late, and missed it anyway. They were on really, really late, and I fell asleep. Thanks for posting, so I can see it now;-)
i thouuht it was a bit nasal.....it happens when you sing falsetto. the oversupply of hardened potential surplus mucus melts.simp[ly you end up coughing snot.sorry if you;re eating.lol.

You know, Mike... In order for the audience to hear your singing you have to sing INTO the microphone...

I actually miss Mike Meros more than I miss Carl, because I didn't become a Beach Boys fan until after Carl had passed away.
