  • I remember watching my dad play this when I was 5 (now 21). The game looked pretty amazing back then, haha.

  • Translating this is awesome dude. This game is deep on a whole another level than horror games nowadays and I really like the H.P Lovecraft vibes, though I actually shouldn't say that since I haven't read any of his books :P but I kinda know about him and his work so I guess it's ok ^^ (OR IS IT?!?!?!)

  • Rien d`important dans ce rayon means There's nothing important

  • Strange that throwing the oil lamp in the library does not cause a fire.

  • So the pink fat ghost ****ed a goat?

  • BUBBLE MONSTER CAN ONLY BE KILLED WITH THE WIGGLY SWORD

  • those readings are sooooo boring

  • who was this purple guy in the library? What mythology did he originate from?

  • @Rihan531 'Vagabond' = 'wanderer' = 'messenger between the spheres'. I think it is one of the many avatars of Nyarlathotep (Nyer-lah-HOH-tep), H.P. Lovecraft's semi-deity of chaos and the connective force of the universe.

  • Tu as fait un travail formidable pour les traductions !

Si je meurs de problèmes cardiaques, je sais que ce jeu y sera pour quelque chose :D

  • Is the vagabond based on any written horror story?

  • I'm not very sure, but I believe it's the name of an avatar of Nyarlathotep.

  • Ow, I don't saw the end of video, yes, it's an avatar of Nyarlathotep (a book say "He's the link between men and the Goat").

In the Cthulhu Mythos, Nyarlathotep is the link between Azathoth, Shub-Niggurath and Yog-Sothot. ; )

  • A vagabond or "drifter" is an itinerant person. some say drifters are called hobos or rougues.

  • thanks uhh pole

  • Very nice translation work :)

  • Arkham?? batman anyone?

  • Arkham is a fictional city in Massachusetts, part of the Lovecraft Country setting created by H. P. Lovecraft and is featured in many of his stories, as well as those of other Cthulhu Mythos writers.

  • @Luttmeyer Every day you learn something new

  • surely this 'wizard' wasnt just the joker having a laugh? lol

  • Whoa, I always thought the Vagabond was invincible.

  • Iä Iä Cthulhu Fhtagn

  • wat happens if u read the 2 bad books outside pentagon?auto-death?

  • Carnby is twisted like a rag doll with a nice crackling effect...

  • If she/he read the red book (outside pentagon) she/he get terrible hit event and lose -5 HP, but if you read the yellow book (outside pentagon) she/he rise up and then crash down to the hard floor and then... THE END.

  • It sounds odd but I love the detail they put into this game, with the books even out to get you unless you're very very careful, such a nice change from most of the gung-ho horror games at the moment! :)

  • You die if you read De Vermis Mysteriis outside of th epentagram, as I recall.

  • It's so weird I actually know whats going on . When I was 3 I didn't lol

  • Ia! Shub-Niggurath!

    A great game.

  • Does the last dragger mentionned on the last page of 'Le Poingnard du Sacrifice' exist in the game? Because I played that game a lot of time but I never found that dragger...

  • in which scene can we here the chopin waltz playing?

  • Any room if you have the record player. At the Blue Danube.

  • ahh, thank you.

  • revolutionary 3d 3rd person horror game.

  • Man is fucking awesome. This is a sweet story and some hardcore gameplay. I need this thing and give it a go, because this kicks ass. Thanks for putting this up here pal.

  • The music and sound effects are actually terrifying.

  • agreed

  • the knife at the very end looks like the Blue Oyster Cult symbol.

  • Lmao, it does a bit.

  • When I watched the first few vids from this guy I thought "hmm this reminds me of H.P. Lovecraft" Now I'm seeing direct references, NEAT!

  • Are you retarded?

  • NO, but that was a retarded thing to say and im apologise.

  • I have to thank you alot for translating all those parts. You put a lot of effort and time to make your vids and i appreciate that. Just wanted to let you know it was worth it i enjoyed it and you made me and probably all the others who watched it happy.

  • Ditto

  • ^^ What he said.

  • its a pity they didnt use Lovecraft's actual intended Elder Sign, rather than the wican Pentagram (still not quite even the Derleth Elder Sign)

  • Hmm, dangerous books, you say? Those might show up in a later video, I'll have to watch for more... Incidentally, is there a way to tell which of the books you pick up is a danger to you?

  • they were basically the ones with non English names. being a kid at the time that was how i guessed it. now that I'm a Lovecraft expert....its a natural thing to me

  • I'm glad I have the english version... not really, I wouldnt mind the french version although I'd be up the creek with out a paddle when it came to reading the books to learn what to do but seeing you play through this one I like it. where can I find this version at?

  • Thanks for translating it must have been a bit difficult. I love the way the french language sounds my friend is learning it. XD I should have her watch this and see how much she can translate on her own hahaha

  • One thing I didnt like about games like this is the bad camera angles, where you can't see the monster that's 2 feet in front of you because it's "behind" the camera and you can't see it and it usually gets you.

  • this is wierd you know the name of the monster but you don't know how to kill it

  • I already completed the game several times so I knew the monsters names.

  • @POLE7645 excuse me dude, where can id download this game? it looks very cool :) thank you

  • It's a pity that on 7.26 you have that small typo. "Vanishes", should that be.

Appart from that, excellent translation & job! (and I speak french! :O)

  • Thanks. My first language is French so my English isn't perfect.

  • I'm glade it's french, it would be horrible if it were the other way around ;)

  • Okay I will teach you in English now?

  • @POLE7645 Actually, "banishes" is right....I'm English. Vanishes wouldn't make sense.

  • @POLE7645 Actually, "banishes" is right....I'm English. Vanishes wouldn't make sense.

  • @POLE7645 i quebecer too :D

  • Thanks I do speak English, Afrikaans and Greek. My third language

  • since I didn't know how to get to find the library, I skiped it and went to the end of the game without the talismin. But I couldn't beat the game without it, so I was pretty screwed.

  • "Vagabond?" I mean, I don't know what that creature is, but I wouldn't call it a hobo.....

  • Vagabond in French (I checked and the word is used in the Engilsh version) means wanderer. What you meant by hobo?

  • Hobos are vagabonds, so I think he assumed the two were synonymous.

  • You're right! I didn't know what a vagabond is. I never heard that term before in my entire life! I thought it was another monster from H.P. lovecraft's creations but nope. According to the dictionary, vagabonds are hobos, rogues, nomadics, vagrant, loafers, knaves, idlers, rovers, tramps, wanderers, etc. As for that vagabond in the game, I never get to make it that fair so what kind of vagabond is that?! Weird creature it is since those polygonial zombies and giant weremoles!

  • Whoops I mean make it that far. Sorry. Damn my fast typing! Can't....help it! @_@

  • If you want to know what kind of vagabond it is, check my previous video. The document about the creatures of the night talks about this vagabond.

  • good stuff man, as a kid I was scared as hell while playing this game. nice to refresh some memories on classic titles. keep it up

  • where is part 7 and others?!

  • They are on the way.

  • You know, if you are interested (and tell me how to do it) I can upload the english version of the AITD triology.

  • You dont have the english version? thats too bad, all books are translated in there.

  • Can't wait 2 c the final battle!!!

  • I can spend the version to you in English of the game, but it does not have sound. Serious you very much easy to translate.

  • Allright! The investigation goes on! Really love this.

  • Wow...It was really worth the wait thanks! :-D

  • Just how devistating are the dangerous books?

  • One kills you instantly, the other does quite a lot of damage.

  • Yeowch. Bet that's gotta hurt.

  • Once I'm done with the walkthrough, I'll post the death scenes.

  • The death scenes are really crazy in some circumstances...One of those books in particular has a pretty zainy effect (laughs)

  • Somebody has.

    watch?v=GcZqCF-VxnU

  • I know about that video, but there are some death scenes that aren't there.

  • Yeah, and they're just Edward's deaths. I know there is little difference between playing as either character, but do they have different animations?

  • Great, can't wait!!!
