Well its my Uncle driving the Skoda and my friend driving the Mazda that crashed. Was nobodys fault, they both even said that, my friend (Mazda driver) just skidded on the ice and couldnt slow down, but i have no idea what the idiot in the Silver car (GOLF i think) is doing. You never overtake on Saltburn bank, let alone in this weather!

The standard tyres on Mazda 6 are 'summer tyres' in most of Europe, but 'all year round' tyres in the UK.

A bit late, but if the car had snow socks or winter tyres on, this wouldn't have happened.

@tpvalley The first car (silver mondeo?) pulled out to pass - but if you watch the clip slowly, the blue vectra that hit the wall wasn't trying to overtake.

He was sliding towards the grey skoda with his steering locked, but wasn't getting grip. He must have gently pumped the accelerator to get purchase on the rd - it worked and instead of hitting the car infront and sending it down the bank, he hit a wall.

Suprisingly, good driving. Prevented what could have been a serious accident.
