Thanks so much for sharing these wonderful treasures with us Rock n Roll lovers!! Even though he was not named the King... To me...Bill Haley will always be "MR. ROCK&ROLL!! =)
The National Endowment for the Arts and the Recording Industry Association of America announced that Bill Haley´s all-time classic, "Rock Around the Clock" has been declared the top traditional rock and roll song of the 20th Century.
Thanks a million for posting this! I remember watching this live in 1969 on our semi-new Cardinal color tv set. I remember Bill doing an extra song for everybody (See you later, alligator). Thanks again for allowing me and others to see Bill's performance after 40+ years!!!!!!!!!!
One other improvement to note - which is much appreciated - is the sound doesn't go slightly out of synch near the end the way the previous version did, which is great!
there is still about a 5-minute interview missing. By watch the TC Timer there is about a 7-minute gap.
this gap would include about 1 2-minute commercial break so about 5 minutes are missing. Also this is one of the few times you see Bill sitting on a stool singing, then stqanding and adjusting the mic.
This was a fantastic find - thanks so much for sharing this! TV appearances by Bill Haley and the Comets are actually quite rare to come by, especially from this later period. I keep hoping someone will track down Haley's appearance on the Canadian show Shake, Rock and Roll from 1973, which is what made me a lifelong fan.
This is a great video grew up listen to all the songs you song ....Bob Moore shared this video with me so glad that he did ....subbing
