  • @collateralmoviefan_ A Child's Claim to Fame / Buffalo Springfield

  • This looks great!

  • Classic Movie...Loved It...

  • Definitely in my favourite top 10 movies ever!.. I can watch this any day, any month, any year and I love it just the same.

  • One of my favorite underrated movies.

  • My all time favourite movie.

  • You ever have a movie that is so familiar, comforting and beloved that it feels like you're coming home whenever you watch it? Wonder Boys is that for me. It's been 10 years since I first saw it and it hasn't lost anything.

  • @fingerless456 that sounds really sweet, the trailer didn't really to it for me but now...i might watch it!

  • how could i have missed this movie?....i'm off to blockbuster right now, they close at 11pm

  • @dan564891 Could not agree with you more, people can't tell the good from the bad now adays. At least the stupid people can't.

  • i can see how this film bothered some people, i wasnt fully onboard with the ending the throughout a pretty enjoyable film

  • reminds me alot of californication

  • Really liked the song GOOD START THE TRAILER

  • HOW LOW AND THAT THE MUSIC THAT GETS INTO THE TRAILER

  • Were watching this in my creative writing class :)

  • slumdog was alright, it wasn't like 'WOW THIS IS A FUCKING MASTERPIECE' good but it was decent.

  • I can't believe such great movies like this fail in the box office and I think Michael Douglas really deserves an Oscar nomination here!

  • I saw this film on its opening weekend in Feb of 2000...I was so inspired by it that I told my friend who went with me that I wouldn't see a better movie all year. That year included, Traffic, Couching Tiger Hidden Dragon and Requiem for a Dream. By the end of the year my statement held true. Wonder Boys is the best movie of 2000. It is a shame that the film was ignored by major awards especially Michael Douglas' career best performance.

  • wow! Mr.Spiderman and Mr.Ironman and Holms!!!?!!?! it was great casting!!

  • if anyone could tell me same type of movies

that are beautiful interesting and just awesom pelase tell me some names:)

    Loved this Film,its THE BomB!

  • This movie is so underrated. It's brilliant, beautiful, witty and just plain comforting. It's featured in the book The Best DVDs You've Never Seen, Just Missed or Almost Forgotten, compiled by New York Times movie critics.

Follow my quest on watching all 500 movies in this book in just 365 days. Here's my review of Wonder Boys: ofelialegaspiDOTcom

  • 0:36 Downey Jr. looks a lot like James Franco in this part xD

  • The best part of this whole movie--and there are lots of good parts--is Dylan's singing!!

  • spiderman and iron man sleep together, oh yeah! xD

  • @Hinatassunshine There are so many things not right with you. XD

  • fuck shit

  • This movie was classic...

  • I love this movie.

  • why peter parker in there? Lol.nice trailer.

  • hahaha before this film i didn't know that spiderman and iron man slept together xD lol

  • @ginny4496 well said, my friend. very well said XD them Marvel men havta stick together.

damn.. the trailer itself just gets me ROTFLMAO

  • @ginny4496 you may have also seen them in that great movie where they are trying to recon cile their love in a cloister as monks...

  • i bought this movie today at walmart ! it was only 50 pesos (like 3 dlls) so cheap! and i loved it!!!! i bought it cuz RDJ is in it, but its actually a brilliant film!

  • It really pisses me off that brilliant films like this are pretty much ignored, but shit like Avatar and Slumdog Millionaire make millions ( and billions) and get loads of awards .......

  • @dan564891 I'll agree with you on slumdog millionaire but I'm a sci fi junkie! I'm talking total trekie junkie! But I did enjoy this movie as well. It's nice to take a break and watch something subtle and poignant

  • @dan564891 ..this is one of the best films I have seen and I have watched it

over and over, like all good films. Few make excuses are made for the academy, they are like the movie mafia and rely on their peers to support their nominations and awards, and who knows what kind of politics are working. I guess I can only be pleased when great nominations are made and won. And Slumdog Millionaire, I did not track that one, maybe it is the abstraction that everyone else understands. I don't.

  • @dan564891 umm i wouldn't go that far critisizing avatar, but yeah there have been movies far weaker than wonderboys that have gained undue success and popularity

  • @dan564891 ....have you seen slumdog millionare? yea some movies deserve to make millions. just saying.

not saying this movie is bad or anything.

  • @roxiifoxx yeah, some movies do deserve to make millions... it just seems to me that the best ones never do

  • @dan564891

    I couldn't agree more.

  • @dan564891

    Word!

  • @dan564891 wait, you didn't like slumdog millionaire? who the fuck didn't like slumdog millionaire?

  • @dan564891 Slumdog Millionaire DID indeed succeed as a motion picture; Wonder Boys failed. The only thing it succeeded in doing was giving visual representation to the awesome characers of Chabon's novel. The book is so amazing and profound that it makes the movie look loke garbage. The movie did HWVR prompt me to read Mysteries of Pittsburg, which for some reason figures a representation for 'Arsonist's Daughter'. It totally works as a rep for a life changing read.

  • @MrChungus Having not read the book, I can't comment intelligently on on that

  • @dan564891 !! Avatar was amaaaaaayzing. No!? What?

  • @dan564891

man. slumdog millionaire is not shit.

  • @dan564891 Those movies made billions for a reason... Retard.

  • @dan564891 just sounds like you don't like anything mainstream... basic poser hipster talk...

  • @dan564891I know this is ages later, those movies really were not sh*t if you knew things about films. Just because brilliant ones as this particular one, goes unnoticed does not mean the ones that are noticed are faulty winners, believe me I don't think everything that is hyped or focused on is worth such attention. Me personally, I give credibility & respect for what is deserved regardless. I cannot allow my annoyance of, over hyped BS to disturb the actual facts, in this case worthy films.

  • @dan564891 yea, slumdog millionare was an absolute piece of mega-sH!+

  • @dan564891 You have a point. But Slumdog Millionaire is such an epic movie.

  • @dan564891 this video was nominated 7 times and won 3 awards... i'm sorry you hadn't heard of it, but that doesn't make it an ignored film........

  • Talking Heads This Must Be the Place (Naive Melody)

  • Could someone share the name of the song and artist of the tune that is at the very beginning of this clip please...

  • @1CyberScout I think it is the song from Wall street which plays when he's renovating his apartment.

    Don't quote me though.

  • Just found out that a very old character actor, named George Grizzard was in this movie. I'll have to Google it, to see what part he played.

  • I love this movie! It's so underrated. Can't even get it on dvd here in Holland.

  • This is a fantastic film. There's something special about it. It feels like coming home.

  • It's been a while, but I think Toby McGuire and/or Robert Downey Jr's character is/are gay, but I'm not sure. It might have been one of those ambiguous things that was much more explicit in the book.

  • Yeah. Terry Crabtree (played by Robert Downey Jr.) is Prof. Tripp's (Michael Douglas) editor and he's gay. But that's only an incidental plot point.

You should check it out. Hilarious.

  • Yes, editor of dr Tripp books, played by Robert Downey Jr is gay... very funny actually,

  • would it be worth just watching this film to see robert downey jr and Tobey Maguire? seeing as they are not the main charaters?

  • Yes, it's a great movie. And they're both in it enough especially Tobey.

  • i have now watched it about 3 times XD love it! everyone was great! and the story was da bomb!

    tobey is so cute :3

  • Yes it would

  • One of my favourite movies. And we get see Peter Parker and Tony Stark in bed together, lol.

  • Shame Vernon Hardapple doesn't appear in the trailer....
