He was unfortunately,and the news travelled quickly through the industry and nobody would touch him,and being as alot of artists are arses he must of gone and had a PHD in arrogance and rudeness to not be touch by the record industry!Shame ,as he's a great singer.

I saw this movie back when it first came out and was really impressed at how well the music was done. Several years later I was doing a play with a scene that called for an Irish accent and one of the actors asked if I knew any movies that might help them work on the accent. I recommended that they watch the Commitments.. They told me later that they rented the movie and they loved it. It really helped them with the Irish accent, too.
